All materials to max Miyabi’s promotion, skills & core skills in ZZZ

Zenless Zone Zero miyabi materials

The first step to turning Miyabi into a broken DPS is leveling her up, so here are all the materials ZZZ players need for her promotion, skills, and core skills.

It was clear from the start that Hoshimi Miyabi would eventually be a playable character in Zenless Zone Zero, having been teased since the early beta. Now, with her arrival in Zenless Zone Zero, players are beyond excited.

Like Tsukishiro Yanagi, she’s set to be an S-rank anomaly agent from Hollow Section Operations Section 6, she’s bringing a new type of ice anomaly called Frost, freezing enemies in place before delivering devastating slashes. With all of Miyabi’s materials now laid out, players can begin the grind early and prepare for her upcoming release. At least, to some degree.

All Miyabi promotion materials in ZZZ

Promoting Miyabi to level 60 means collecting 4 Basic Anomaly Certification Seals, 32 Advanced Anomaly Certification Seals, 30 Controller Certification Seals, and loads of Dennies.

Miyabi’s promotion spans six levels, and here’s a breakdown of all the materials players will need for each one:

  • Level 20: 4 Basic Anomaly Certification Seal and 24,000 Dennies
  • Level 30: 12 Advanced Anomaly Certification Seal and 56,000 Dennies
  • Level 40: 20 Advanced Anomaly Certification Seal and 120,000 Dennies
  • Level 50: 10 Advanced Anomaly Certification Seal and 200,000 Dennies
  • Level 60: 20 Controller Certification Seal and 400,000 Dennies

Dennies serve as the primary currency in Zenless Zone Zero, and players can earn them in numerous ways, including completing quests, defeating bosses, using ZZZ codes, and participating in events. However, the most efficient farming method is the HIA Club, with a high-level run yielding 125,000 Dennies for 100 Battery Charge.

As an anomaly agent, Miyabi uses the standard progression of Anomaly Certification Seals. Head to the HIA, go to Combat Simulation, choose Agent Promotion, and then run an Anomaly Drill.

For more cost-efficient farming, ZZZ has a craft and dismantle function that lets players convert low-tier materials into higher-tier ones, and vice versa. Additionally, proxies can visit the 141 Convenience Store, as this shop sometimes offers Certification Seals in exchange for Dennies.

Complete Miyabi skill level-up materials

Leveling up one of Miyabi’s skills requires 2 Basic Freeze Chips, 15 Advanced Freeze Chips, 50 Specialized Freeze Chips, 1 Hamster Cage Pass, and 500,000 Dennies.

Assuming players don’t pull her repeatedly to unlock mindscapes, Miyabi’s skills max out at level 12. Here are the materials required for each upgrade:

  • Level 2: 2 Basic Freeze Chips, 2,000 Dennies
  • Level 3: 3 Basic Freeze Chips, 3,000 Dennies
  • Level 4: 2 Advanced Freeze Chips and 6,000 Dennies
  • Level 5: 3 Advanced Freeze Chips and 9,000 Dennies
  • Level 6: 4 Advanced Freeze Chips and 12,000 Dennies
  • Level 7: 6 Advanced Freeze Chips and 18,000 Dennies
  • Level 8: 5 Specialized Freeze Chips and 45,000 Dennies
  • Level 9: 8 Specialized Freeze Chips and 67,500 Dennies
  • Level 10: 10 Specialized Freeze Chips and 90,000 Dennies
  • Level 11: 12 Specialized Freeze Chips and 112,500 Dennies
  • Level 12: 15 Specialized Freeze Chips, 1 Hamster Cage Pass, and 135,000 Dennies

Freeze Chips are classified into three tiers: Basic, Advanced, and Specialized. Similar to Certification Seals, Tactical Chips can be obtained from Combat Simulation, specifically through Agent Skill and Icing Test. If players ever run out of chips or batteries to use, Original Chips are a viable but rarer alternative.

The Hamster Cage Pass is an item required exclusively to unlock Level 12. Currently, there are only two ways to obtain it: limited-time events and the New Eridu City Fund. In Zenless Zone Zero, each patch features a flagship event that spans its duration, and reaching certain milestones within the event will reward players with one Hamster Cage Pass. Meanwhile, the New Eridu City Fund grants one pass at Level 30, with an additional one available through the premium version.

All Miyabi core skill materials

Miyabi’s core skill materials are 60 items from a new Expert Challenge boss, 9 Sycophant Refinement, and 405,000 Dennies.

  • A: 5,000 Dennies
  • B: 2 New Expert Challenge boss materials and 12,000 Dennies
  • C: 4 New Expert Challenge boss materials and 28,000 Dennies
  • D: 9 New Expert Challenge boss materials, 2 Sycophant Refinement, and 60,000 Dennies
  • E: 15 New Expert Challenge boss materials, 3 Sycophant Refinement, and 100,000 Dennies
  • F: 30 New Expert Challenge boss materials, 4 Sycophant Refinement, and 200,000 Dennies

ZZZ Version 1.4 is set to introduce a new Expert Challenge Boss that will drop one of Miyabi’s core skill materials. This means ZZZ players will not be able to completely pre-farm Core Skill upgrade materials for Miyabi until after the release of version 1.4.

Once the boss is available, head to the Expert Challenge section and spend 40 batteries per run. Each attempt can give around two to five core skill materials, along with Interknot EXP, dennies, and other rewards.

On the flipside, her weekly boss material is called Sycophant Refinement. Similar to the material above, there is currently no way to farm this item, as the boss has yet to be released. Upon the launch of Zenless Zone Zero version 1.4, players will need to advance through story content in order to unlock the boss as a challenge in Scott Outpost. Additionally, players can purchase Reserved Relics from Casper at the Scott Outpost Logistic Shop for 150 Z-Merits each. Using this item allows players to select a weekly boss drop of their choice, effectively saving 60 Battery Charge with each purchase.
