From there, another part of the Baki Hanma series will drop on August 28, 2023. This will cover the remaining events of the Baki Hanma: Son of Ogre manga, including Baki’s fight with Yujiro. The manga also included a filler arc between Pickle Wars and Baki vs. Yujiro which follows Retsu traveling to the United States, shows the daily lives of Doppo Orochi and Gouki Shibukawa, and features a special fight between Baki and a returning Chiharu Shiba.
Baki Hanma season 2 trailers
Two trailers have been released for Baki Hanma season 2. The first was a brief trailer that showed off some of the early moments of the Pickle Wars arc, including the character’s introduction and a demonstration of the fixation the cast has on him.
More than a year later, a new trailer came out that also focuses on the Pickle Wars arc. This peeks much further into the season, and teases all of the major fights that are set to happen. This includes fights involving Kaio Retsu, Katsumi, Jack, and Baki.
Did Baki Hanma get canceled by Netflix?
Baki Hanma has not been canceled by Netflix. After more than a year of silence, details regarding a second season were finally revealed.
Fear over possible cancelation were understandable. Netflix has axed a long list of series over the last year including the likes of Inside Job, Warrior Nun, and Dead End: Paranomal Park. In the case of Inside Job, it was actually renewed for a new season before having the rug pulled.

Pickle is an eight-foot-tall caveman who lived in the Cretaceous period, tens of millions of years ago. He is found “pickled,” flash-frozen in a block of salt water as he strangled a tyrannosaurus. The discovery of a living caveman garners global attention, including from the Tokyo Dome Underground Arena fighters.
The fighters obsess over the fact that Pickle was strong enough to kill dinosaurs with his bare hands and look to fight him as a result. The trouble is that Pickle only fights creatures he intends to eat. Several of them are willing to take that risk, with gruesome results.
Will Baki fight Yujiro next season?
Baki Hanma will fight his father Yujiro in the second part of Baki Hanma season two, which will release in August 2023.
The Baki Hanma: Son of Ogre manga concludes with Baki and Yujiro having their long-awaited rematch, and it’s safe to expect that the anime series will follow suit. The two faced off when Baki was 13 years old, a fight that ended with Baki being annihilated and his mother being killed. Fans can look forward to a much closer fight than the one seen in the original anime series.
