Check out Braum’s 2XKO moveset, find out about its playtest

Braum in 2XKO

Riot Games announced Braum as the latest character coming to 2XKO, and fans won’t have to wait long to try him out with a new playtest and the game’s next event stop being confirmed.

With League of Legends entering its 15th year and Valorant absent from its lore, fans are eager for a new game in the world of Runeterra. Riot Forge is gone at this point and League of Legends: Wild Rift has largely treaded water, but 2XKO may be the game to turn things around. Riot hired several figures from the competitive fighting game scene for the game’s development and has clear plans for its esports future.

Reactions to the early builds have been positive so far, but one thing stood out for fans. The roster remains small. As the road to EVO begins, Riot looks to rectify this issue with the announcement of Braum.

Braum coming to 2XKO at EVO 2024

Braum will be playable at EVO 2024, which begins on July 20, 2024.

Braum’s gameplay reveals the massive bruiser is as physical as it gets, and he fittingly tags with fellow muscled bruiser Illaoi. Braum’s gameplay favors players who like to stay up close and personal with devastating moves.

Of course, swinging around a massive shield isn’t all that Braum does. The shield can also be used as armor, letting him power armor his way through the normals of the opponent. Braum can also freeze enemies and summon Poros to battle, with his super being a massive snowball of adorable death.

As EVO 2024 draws close, some fans hope Riot announces even more characters at the event itself. In the meantime, Riot will give fans a chance to try out 2XKO for themselves at home.

How can I join the 2XKO alpha lab playtest?

2XKO will have an “alpha lab playtest” that lets players try out the game at home.

2XKO demos have all been in-person events at fighting game tournaments, but a larger playtest featuring Braum, Yasuo, and the other fighters is finally happening. Like most playtests, the developers has limited the slots, and it will only be available for players from certain regions. These regions are able to take part in the 2XKO alpha lab playtest:

  • USA
  • Canada
  • UK
  • France
  • Brazil
  • Japan
  • Mexico

The playtest will be for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC. Players who want a chance to play 2XKO early can register here.

They must sign up with an existing Riot account and wait for a survey. Once answered, the lucky players will receive an invite to their preferred platform. The alpha lab playtest will be held from August 8, 2024 to August 19, 2024.
