Here is the Deadlock rank distribution after 2 weeks of competitive

Deadlock has kicked off its ranked matchmaking and players can see where they stack up after weeks of grinding with the inaugural rank distribution.

Deadlock has 11 ranks in its competitive mode, with six tiers in each for players to work through. Competitive players can make their way up the ranks by winning matches and having good performances, although the game is designed to make retaining a high rank extremely difficult.

Still, a lot of players have already started the challenge strong. Here are the rank distributions in the first two weeks of competitive.

Full Deadlock early rank distribution

The rank distribution above includes all Deadlock regions pooled together. Other Valve games, most notably Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, had rank distribution vary greatly by region.

The rank with the most competitive players was Archon, with Archon VI having the most players. This means most of the competitive pool is about halfway through the climb, although some gamers have joked that they are “below average” according to this data.

The rank with the least amount of players is, unsurprisingly, Eternus. This is the highest rank in the game right now and it’s quite challenging to reach this rank in two weeks in such a complex game. Only about 500 players reached Eternus rank in the early standings. Later in the season, it’ll be interesting to see how many players will have reached Eternus, and how many are able to maintain the rank.

What’s a good rank in Deadlock?

Players who reach Archon I can consider themselves good Deadlock players, according to the early rank distributions.

Everyone begins as Obscurus before they start grinding competitive. Once they’ve unlocked ranked by winning 50 standard games, Obscurus-ranked players must consistently play to be considered active.

Players who reach Archon I can consider themselves “good” Deadlock players. That’s because this is the rank where the 50th percentile mark lies. Players ranked Archon II or higher can definitively consider themselves above-average players.
