Blazing Brilliance stands out as one of the best sword weapons in Wuthering Waves after being pumped full of ascension materials, but how can players get it and which characters is it good with?
Changli has arrived in Wuthering Waves with her signature weapon. While the sword is designed specifically for her, this doesn’t mean it has no value for other characters. Blazing Brilliance is a five-star weapon providing crit damage attributes and resonance skill damage boosts that can double or triple the damage output of a DPS.
Here’s everything players need to know about Blazing Brilliance in Wuthering Waves, including how to get it and all of its ascension materials.
How to get Blazing Brilliance in Wuthering Waves
Blazing Brilliance is a five-star sword weapon that players can only acquire from a limited-time weapon convene. The first run of this sword is available from July 22 to August 14, 2024.
Players looking to obtain a piece of Blazing Brilliance should head to the Featured Weapon Convene, Absolute Pulsation. This particular banner requires 160 Astrites or 1 Forging Tide per pull. Unlike character banners, this one is more forgiving, guaranteeing fans the featured weapon within 80 pulls without any 50/50 system. This is a bit refreshing, given Wuthering Waves’ brutal lack of a reroll system. To secure the weapon completely, players will need a maximum of 12,600 Astrites.
Once Changli and Blazing Brilliance’s banner ends, there will be no way to acquire this weapon. It’s also unlikely that this weapon will be added to the standard weapon banner anytime soon. Players eager to obtain Blazing Brilliance will likely have to wait months or even a year for its rerun if they fail to get it during version 1.0.
Is Blazing Brilliance good in Wuthering Waves?
Blazing Brilliance is one of the best sword weapons to have in Wuthering Waves, thanks to its high base ATK and Crit damage.
This sword weapon offers 47-587.5 attack and 10.8-48.60% crit damage. Its passive adds 12-24% attack, and a maximum of 14 Searing Feather stacks. Each stack increases resonance skill damage by 4%, allowing players to potentially enjoy up to a 56% increase. Damaging opponents with normal attacks and casting resonance skills adds one or five stacks, respectively.
Right now, Blazing Brilliance is the only five-star weapon with Crit damage sub-stats, increasing players’ damage output in a big way. What sets it apart even more is its resonance skill damage buff, which is perfect for almost all sword users in the game. This means if Wuthering Waves players can get their hands on Blazing Brilliance, it’s a great fit with any DPS character that can use it.
Blazing Brilliance Ascension Materials

Which Wuthering Waves characters are good with Blazing Brilliance?
Blazing Brilliance Sword is a great weapon that can be used for Changli, Rover, and Danjin.
Changli’s signature weapon not only complements her aesthetic but is also her best-in-slot. Blazing Brilliance gives huge buffs to her resonance skill damage, which is where most of her damage comes from. Not only that, but Changli won’t have a hard time reaching the maximum stacks of this weapon due to her quick attacks and low cooldown on her resonance skill.
Blazing Brilliance is also an excellent choice for the main character, Rover, whether Spectro or Havoc. Much like other sword-wielders, she weaves together her normal attacks, resonance skill, and resonance liberation on the battlefield. The only downside to choosing this weapon is that her resonance skill has quite a long cooldown, which means she won’t get as much value from it. She’ll also have a hard time reaching the highest stack. Emerald of Genesis still remains Rover’s best weapon, but Blazing Brilliance serves as a great alternative.
Danjin is a Havoc DPS whose resonance skill has no cooldown but drains her HP whenever she attacks. Her attack strings alternate between normal attacks and the resonance skill, meaning she can easily stack the weapon’s passive effect and allow her to enjoy these damage buffs.
