Pokemon TCG Pocket: Best pull cards from Crimson Blaze

With Crimson Blaze, Pokemon TCG Pocket is introducing new best pull cards.

Pokemon TCG Pocket is releasing a new set with Crimson Blaze this month, with it come a new selection of the best available pull cards.

In the year and change since Pokemon TCG Pocket first hit mobile devices, the game’s developer has been attracting new and current players alike with new features. For instance, the development team seems to keep abreast of competitive play and regularly introduces counters to current meta. They have also added shiny cards, new Pokemon, and now mega evolutions.

Every new set shakes up the competitive meta, and Crimson Blaze is no exception. Here are the best pull cards players will want to try and get.

What are the best pull cards so far from Crimson Blaze?

Crimson Blaze is introducing at least three new mega evolution cards that are sure to be some of the best pulls from the set.

Mega evolution cards debuted in Pokemon TCG Pocket with Mega Rising, and featured cards included Mega Blaziken, Mega Altaria, and Mega Gyarados. Already, mega cards are affecting the game’s competitive sphere and have begun to dominate the meta. It’s no wonder that more are being added with the next set.

The Crimson Blaze trailer shows that players can expect at least three new megas, and likely four. These include:

  • Mega Venusaur ex: 240 HP, deals 120 damage and both poisons the opposing Pokemon and puts it to sleep
  • Mega Blastoise ex: 230 HP, deals a base 130 damage and 50 to benched Pokemon for an extra two energy
  • Mega Charizard Y ex: 220 HP, deals 250 damage but also does 50 damage to itself

Mega Charizard Y in particular stands out as one of, if not the, highest base damage dealing card in the game. Additionally, the existence of Mega Charizard Y hints that Mega Charizard X is in the works, if not now then for a later booster set.

Crimson Blaze also has two more cards that stand to be best pulls from the set. The first is the trainer Serena, who allows the player to pull a random mega evolution into their hand. Secondly, Quick Grow Extract evolves an on deck grass type Pokemon into a Stage 1 or Stage 2 Pokemon. This in particular could be a game-changer for Venusaur ex or Decidueye ex decks.

Other featured Pokemon include Solosis, Trubbish, Ditto, Sunflora, and Spritzee. Players can of course expect to see the starter line-up leading into the new mega evolution cards.

When does Crimson Blaze come out?

Players can start chasing down the best pull cards from Pokemon TCG Pocket: Crimson Blaze when the latest expansion comes out on December 17, 2025.

This is the second booster to come out since Mega Rising began the new series. Following past patterns, it will be a smaller, supplementary set. That doesn’t mean, however, that there won’t be plenty of rare pull cards and other surprises to look forward to.

Crimson Blaze will be bringing plenty of events, rewards, and more throughout December and into early January. These include holiday missions, a Mareep solo battle drop event, a Heliolisk and Buneary wonder pick event, and a Mega Latios ex solo battle drop event. For fans of Mega Charizard Y, a new set of covers and backdrops to use in gameplay become available on December 31.

To get the best pull cards from Crimson Blaze, players need to open as many packs as possible. They can purchase hourglasses from the shop, get a few more hourglasses daily by completing missions, and earn some through completing new solo battles.

Luck, as always, is an essential component in finding the best pull cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket, no matter how many hourglasses players have to spend.
