The biggest prize in all of Rocket League is coming back to Texas for a third time, as detailed in a new announcement.

This will mark the third time the Rocket League World Championship has been contested at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, just outside of Dallas. The formal event will feature 16 teams gathered from around the world, following an eight-team play-in.

Rocket League Worlds returns to Fort Worth for 2026

Some of the biggest names in esports are set to be represented at the Rocket League World Championship later in 2026, with the list of competitors shaping up to be a veritable who’s who in the competitive gaming world.

The European region and North American region are both set to receive four slots in the event proper. Karmine Corp and Team Vitality are among the names headlining the EU rankings qualification. The NA rankings are driven by Shopify Rebellion and defending Rocket League World Championship winner NRG.

The South American and MENA regions will both receive two seeds, with Furia and last year’s runner-up Team Falcons represented in those rankings chases. OCE, APAC, and SSA representatives will round out the remaining direct invites.

Four regions will also receive a direct play-in invitation. Europe, North America, and MENA are all but certain to be among those four.

Last year’s World Championship saw NRG go on an undefeated match run through the event, keyed by regular season MVP Landon BeastMode Konerman. NRG will likely be a contender again, having already managed a top-four finish at this year’s Boston Major event.

That event was won by Gentle Mates, currently topping the European rankings as of this writing, who beat Team Vitality in the grand final.

The Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas has long been a hot spot for competitive gaming and esports. This dates back Dallas being the primary home of the CPL, an early-day esports event series that hosted major championships for Counter-Strike, Quake 3, and other games.

This year’s Rocket League Worlds event will be run by BLAST, one of the leaders today in esports event production, in concert with local event producers in Fort Worth and Texas.
