Armored Core 6

Armored Core 6 is one of the most anticipated video games remaining on the 2023 calendar, and everyone wants to know if Armored Core 6 multiplayer will be a factor.

A new leak suggests that there will indeed be a multiplayer component in AC 6, and even has some potential early details that have FromSoftware fans feeling titillated.

Armored Core 6 leak shows 6-player multiplayer

A new Armored Core 6 leak features a supposed case for a physical copy of the upcoming game by famed developer FromSoftware. The case’s text is in Japanese, but it’s easy enough to spot a few key details on its design.

The most notable aspect of this latest Armored Core 6 leak is the multiplayer listing. It says that AC 6 can be played by between two and six players in online multiplayer.

There are yet more details to be had. It’s suggested that, in addition to the players actually competing with and against each other via online multiplayer, there will also be room for up to three spectators.

Some fans are already wary of how Armored Core 6 multiplayer will perform over network connections given the potential number of players in each game. There have been online performance issues in some of FromSoftware’s previous games. But the hope is that this newest offering will run more smoothly than not.

Ever since the release of its debut trailer, anticipation for Armored Core 6 has only grown. FromSoftware is still basking in the glow of the biggest hit in the company’s storied history, Elden Ring, which won multiple 2022 game of the year awards. Its new DLC is another source of great hype for FromSoftware.

Will AC 6 live up to those lofty expectations? We’ll soon find out, as the mech game is set to release on August 25, 2023.
