The full plans for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown have been revealed with a roadmap of both free and paid DLC being revealed, alongside estimated release dates for each part.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown launched in January to acclaim from critics and fans alike, with its engaging gameplay and story receiving praise. Some fans thought their adventure in Mount Qaf might end after the base game, but Ubisoft has revealed its plans for the game’s future with a DLC roadmap.

The roadmap lists everything coming to the title and whether it will be paid. It also provides information regarding the update’s release dates and when players can expect to see the DLC and updates added to the game.

Will the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown DLC be free?

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will get three free content updates and a story DLC that will likely be paid.

The first update, titled Warrior’s Path, will introduce two new modes and new outfits for Sargon. It will include a speedrun mode with a small timer on the corner of the screen that keeps track of how long players take to complete the game. The update will also include a permadeath mode, where the game won’t have any checkpoints and will end whenever Sargon dies.

The second update, Boss Attack, will include a boss rush mode and even more new outfits for Sargon. It’s unclear how this boss rush mode will work, but other games have seen players need to fight every boss in order as quickly as possible or defeat a select few bosses with certain pre-conditions.

The third update, Divine Trial, will add new combat, platform, and puzzle challenges. In addition to those, it will also incorporate new amulets, outfits, and more.

Finally, there will be new story DLC added to the game. Not much information is provided, except that it might cost money since it doesn’t have the “free” tag next to it while the other updates do.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown DLC release dates

The Price of Persia: The Lost Crown updates and story DLC will be released throughout 2024 starting from March 20, 2024.

Warrior’s Path will launch on March 20, 2024. Boss Attack and Divine Trials will come in the Spring and Summer of 2024, respectively, although the exact date for both is unknown. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown’s story DLC will come in late 2024, though no season was given.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown’s reveal was during 2023’s Summer Game Fest. Interestingly, the roadmap reveal came around the same time as 2024’s Summer Game Fest date announcement for June 7, 2024.

There’s a good chance the summer update might launch during the Summer Game Fest, which begins June 7. Ubisoft might also share more information regarding Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown’s story DLC during the event, including its release date.
