The best cards to pull from the Deluxe Pack ex in Pokemon TCG Pocket

Pokemon TCG Pocket is back with new best cards with Deluxe Pack ex.

For players having trouble pulling and collecting some of the best cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket, the new Deluxe Pack ex set may be the solution they’ve been waiting for.

Some Pokemon TCG Pocket cards are far harder to collect than others. Debuting in October 2024, the mobile game has introduced new chase cards with each and every additional booster. And since a new booster set usually comes out every month, players don’t often have the chance to pull every ex or full art card they would like to.

The newest set, Deluxe Pack ex, may offer a solution to that problem for at least some rare cards. With old and new cards alike being featured, thees are the best cards from Deluxe Pack ex in Pokemon TCG Pocket.

Best cards from Deluxe Pack ex

The best cards from Deluxe Pack ex will be the new full-art cards for previously released Pokemon.

Deluxe Pack ex comes out with the promise that every pack will contain at least one four-diamond card. These include ex, one-star full art, two-star full art, and potentially even a gold crown card. Additionally, all of the cards released will be from Genetic Apex through Wisdom of Sky and Sea.

While none of the cards are entirely new, some are getting a new art style that will make them the chase cards of the set. The best cards known to be getting full art styles, and thus the best cards to pull in Deluxe Pack ex, will include:

  • Farfetched from Genetic Apex
  • Gardevoir from Genetic Apex
  • Greninja from Genetic Apex
  • Pikachu ex from Genetic Apex
  • Arceus ex from Triumphant Light
  • Solgaleo ex from Celestial Guardians
  • Buzzwole ex from Extradimensional Crisis
  • Professor’s Research

The other unique type of card from Deluxe Pack ex is parallel foil versions of old cards, which have a new shine effect. Parallel foils are also known as reverse holo cards and the effect is seen on the outside of the card rather than on top of the Pokemon.

A number of ex cards are also coming back in their original form, including Charizard ex, Pachirisu ex, and Eevee ex. Players can also look forward to pulling returning regular cards, such as Red and Sprigatito. Although there may be no new cards in this set, it does bring the chance to finally complete some of the old booster sets by filling them out with their rarest pull cards.

When does Deluxe Pack ex come out?

Pokemon TCG Pocket: Deluxe Pack ex hits the app with new best cards on September 30, 2025, but it won’t available for very long.

Usually, TCG Pocket sets are available from their release date on. Players will only be able to pull from Deluxe Pack ex, however, until October 30. The trailer clarifies that this type of booster pack will be available in the future, but likely with different cards.

Those who want to take full advantage of the month-long window for Deluxe Pack ex should start collecting hourglasses now. Hourglasses can be found through completing daily challenges, finishing AI solo battles, and purchasing them with shop tickets. Players can also get an extra pull per day by signing up for premium.

There’s only a limited window of time to get the new art for Pikachu ex or Gardevoir in Pokemon TCG Pocket. With a guarantee to get a four-diamond or higher card per pack, players can find new hope that the odds will be on their side.
