Agent skins were one of the big cosmetic item additions to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but CS2 players might not know how many options are out there for these and how to get them.
Fortnite proved that players really like being able to customize their player character. Longtime Counter-Strike fans initially hated this, and generally dislike it when the game adds features that resemble any other game, but over time they’ve become a key part of the game’s economy.
Though they’re not universally popular even today, the distinct looks and custom voice lines make them the best way to stand out. Here’s everything there is to know about agent skins in CS2.
How to get agent skins in Counter-Strike 2
Counter-Strike agent skins have been exclusively available through limited-time in-game events. The were could be acquired in various ways, typically through an in-game currency that was earned by playing the game and completing objectives.
The initial batch of agent skins arrived in 2019 with Operation Shattered Web. This event resulted in a major shakeup to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, reintroducing in-game events while normalizing battle pass-style reward systems in the game. New agent skins were added in subsequent CSGO operations, with an extra wrinkle in having multiple looks for the same character.
Agent skins cannot be obtained outside these events without buying or trading for them through the Steam Marketplace. While players receive items each week through a weekly drop, agent skins are not a part of the item pool. They also are unavailable through opening CS2 cases.
This means players who weren’t actively playing during these events will need to purchase them with Steam currency. Though they’re not the most expensive Counter-Strike skins, some potentially cost hundreds of dollars.

As with most Counter-Strike skins, agents come in at a wide range of prices. The most expensive CT agent skin is Davida ‘Goggles’ Fernandez, who was introduced in Operation Riptide. Though she still has the general “CT” look to her, she stands out based on her SCUBA diving gear and has an extra splash of color thanks to her goggles.
Exceptional rarity agents from Operation Shattered Web are the cheapest CT agent skins in CS2. This includes the different versions of ‘Two Times’ McCoy and Markus Delrow.

The best CT agent skins in CS2
Davida ‘Goggles’ Fernandez, 1st Lieutenant Farlow, and Markus Delrow rank among the best CT agent skins available in CS2.
Davida ‘Goggles’ Fernandez is the most expensive for a reason. Her gear really stands out from other CT agents and she has a distinctive set of voice lines.
Farrow’s appearance isn’t as radically different from other agents as Fernandez, but nobody is going to mistake her with one of the generic agents in the game. She also has some of the most distinct voice lines in the game, with her “woohoo” cheers being a great way to hype, or infuriate, teammates.
Markus Delrow is the best low-budget CT agent skin in CS2. He sticks out from the pack well and has some good voice lines of his own.
All T agent skins in CS2

Though Bloody Darryl is the most distinctive skin, the most expensive T-side agent skin in CS2 is Getaway Sally. There’s a much greater variety of affordable T-side agent skins, with the Phoenix Soldier being the cheapest. That said, the character looks generally similar to the standard T character on some maps.

The best T agent skins in CS2
Getaway Sally, Prof. Shahmat, and the Crasswater skins are the best T-side agents to pick up.
Getaway Sally and Safecracker Voltzmann are distinct in a few ways. They’re among the only women agents on the T side and they’re the only ones with goofy voice lines. Though the Bloody Darryl line gets into wisecracking territory, he’s still meant to be a serious character.
The Crasswater skins are both visually striking and stand out in a big way, making them excellent mid-price options. For those looking to go cheaper, the Prof. Shahmat skin is a good one. The agent skin is technically just a variant of a standard agent who appeared on Mirage and Dust 2, but he’s still one of CS2’s most recognizable characters.
