Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections might have just come out, but some DLC for the game might have already been leaked.
The seventh installment in the Ultimate Ninja Storm series, Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, was marketed as being the complete Storm game. Many assumed it would be a complete celebration of everything the Storm series has accomplished thus far. That doesn’t seem to be the case if recent leaks are to be believed.
MoeruStorm, who is well-known in the Storm fandom for founding the Storm 4 Restoration Mod, recently discovered a wealth of information from Storm Connectons’ UI files. These discoveries include potential DLC characters as well as their ultimate and team ultimate jutsu finisher screens.
Which characters are coming in the Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections DLC?
Hagoromo, Isshiki, Kurenai, Karma Form Kawaki, and Momoshiki-Controlled Boruto are likely coming to Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections as DLC characters.
Not much is known about these characters as of yet, as their discovery was made thanks to the data miner digging through the game’s UI files, similar to the Baldur’s Gate 3 cut content discovery. The ultimate and team ultimate jutsu finisher screens of some of these characters have been revealed on social media.
It seems that in addition to the DLC characters having unique ultimate and team ultimate jutsu finisher screens, some existing characters will also be getting brand-new team finishers. For example, Naruto, Hashirama, and Asura will be getting a team ultimate jutsu, as will Sasuke, Madara, and Indra.
Additionally, files for D-pad actions for all of these characters were discovered in version 1.01, a patch that came out a few days before the game was released. Interestingly, Hagoromo has four d-pad actions instead of the usual two, which indicates that his playstyle will be unique, similar to Kaguya who can change the arena’s biome with her D-pad actions.
New game mode coming to Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections
Another major leak suggests that the game might be adding a mass multiplayer online battlefield mode in a future DLC.
The same data miner discovered an unused map of the Shinobi World which shows all of the hidden villages alongside multiple interactable icons. While it’s unclear what this map will be used for, there have been speculations that this might be the rumored MMO game mode. This speculation is further supported by the discovered unused online lobby system.
V-Jump has already stated that Naruto Storm Connections is getting a DLC called “Shinobi Battlefront.” Because this statement comes with a promise of making battles more enjoyable, it might be safe to assume that the game mode will be a type of tournament mode or clan battle mode.
