Soldier 0 Anby is coming to ZZZ in version 1.6 and with the right build, she can bring attacker teams back into vogue.
The ZZZ meta was dominated by anomaly agents, with Jane Doe, Burnice Yanagi, and Miyabi coming out in rapid-fire succession. That has made attacker agents sink out of relevance, with even the likes of Ellen sliding down the tier list. It’s not just attackers either, as this has been a hit to stunners and numerous supports, too.
Things are realigning, though. Patch 1.5 and the releases of S-rank attacker Evelyn and S-rank support Astra Yao remedied this to some degree. But the release of Soldier 0 Anby may help bring the original style of team compositions back to life.
Best Soldier 0 Anby Drive Disc builds
The best Soldier 0 Anby Drive Disc build is four-piece Shadow Harmony combined with two-piece Branch and Blade Song.
The Shadow Harmony four-piece bonus is effectively designed for Soldier 0 Anby. At two pieces, it boosts aftershock and dash attack damage. At four, it gives a passive buff based on attribute damage.
Similar to Astra Yao and Hoshimi Miyabi, Shadow Harmony was effectively created for Soldier 0 Anby. While other characters could make use of the set, it’s basically mandatory for her. The secondary two-piece offers players some creativity. Here are the best Drive Disc sets for Soldier 0 Anby:

While not all characters get a sizable spike from their signature W-Engine, Severed Innocence is significantly better than any permanently available alternative.

Past Severed Innocence, pretty much any S-rank attacker W-Engine works well for Soldier 0 Anby except for the Steel Cushion. Do note that it’s slightly out-paced by limited S-rank W-Engines, so if players have a spare Riot Suppressor Mark VI or Zanshin Herb Case lying around, it’s worth using them on Soldier 0 Anby.
Among A-rank W-Engines, the best option is a fully enhanced Starlight Engine. This is quite convenient for ZZZ players who work on a budget, as they can build Soldier 0 Anby with a craftable W-Engine rather than splurging on a battle pass for a Cannon Rotor. Though various attacker A-rank W-Engines work, the Starlight Engine is either comparable or slightly better than the alternatives.

Best Soldier 0 Anby whale team – Soldier 0 Anby, Trigger, Astra Yao (Plugboo)
For Zenless Zone Zero players who have the means or luck to pull for limited-time agents regularly and build them out, Soldier 0 Anby, Trigger, and Astra Yao make up a particularly powerful squad. Soldier 0 Anby serves as the DPS while Trigger and Astra Yao both give her some extra buffs.
Best Soldier 0 Anby free-to-play team – Soldier 0 Anby, Pulchra, Nicole (Devilboo)
Anby isn’t the only A-rank stunner anymore! Pulchra joins the roster alongside Soldier 0 Anby and complements her well with aftershock attacks. Rounding out a solid free-to-play squad with her is Nicole. No surprise here, as Nicole is one of the better support agents in the game despite being a true free-to-play option.
