The Genshin Impact TCG is coming and fans now know when and where it’s coming out, and which characters will get their own decks.
Fans caught wind of a physical version of Genshin Impact’s card game earlier this year and it’s finally coming. The Genius Invokation TCG is a permanent game mode in Genshin Impact, introduced in Version 3.3. In this game mode, players are rewarded for playing against NPCs with Lucky Coins. The card game includes cards based on characters, items, and other elements of the main game.
Now, a physical version of the Genshin Impact TCG is coming, bringing a new type of physical merch to fans. But only some fans.
When and where is the Genshin Impact TCG coming out?
The TCG’s physical release is finally a reality, according to an official announcement on Weibo, but it initially won’t be available everywhere.
The physical version of Genshin Impact’s Genius Invokation TCG will be available for pre-sale starting on November 8, 2024.
The pre-sale will include two products:
Starter Deck ($6)
- 40 total cards
- 3 x character cards
- 30 x action cards
- 7 x accessory cards
Booster Box ($25)
- 108 total cards
- 18 packs per box
- 6 cards per pack
The pre-sale will only be available in China and there’s currently no word on if or when the card game will become available worldwide. Though Genshin Impact is globally popular, it’s unclear if it’s popular enough in other markets to warrant an international release. Diehard Genshin Impact fans will likely be able to find resellers.
What characters are in the Genshin Impact TCG physical release?
Genius Invokation publisher Shining Soul confirmed that the physical release of the Genshin Impact TCG will include decks themed around the following characters:
- Ayaka
- Chongyun
- Collei
- Diluc
- Ganyu
- Keqing
- Noelle
- Xiangling
Other characters including Lisa are also confirmed to have their own cards.
The Genshin Impact TCG shares the same name as the game mode; Genius Invokation. This has led to assumptions that the characters and cards in the physical TCG will be the same as those found in the game mode. There are 101 character cards in Genius Invokation, all featuring artwork of in-game characters.
Fans got a better idea of what characters would be featured in the physical card game during the Genshin FES 2024 event held in Shanghai in July 2024. During this event, physical cards were shared with attendees, who were also able to play some demos.
Shining Soul confirmed the physical TCG on its bilibili page soon after, sharing further images. These official images included the lineup of theme decks. If the initial launch is successful, fans can expect more physically released cards based on other popular characters for the Genshin Impact TCG.
