Cheaters have already made their way to Marvel Rivals and the method of sending a report isn’t particularly obvious. Thankfully, it’s already part of the game.
Cheating is a common problem in multiplayer games and Marvel Rivals is no exception. Within a few days of its release, players started encountering bad actors. Standard hacking methods like aimbots, wallhacks, and triggerbots are all present and accounted for. There are also some unique options like becoming invincible, having infinite ammo, and more.
NetEase made its stance against cheating clear right from the closed beta. The developer not only banned 190 cheaters but went a step further to name and shame them by publicly posting their game IDs. However, that list isn’t enough to keep serial cheaters at bay. These players may return, and many more will find their way to Marvel Rivals over time. As a result, the developer has introduced a more direct way to report cheaters in Marvel Rivals.
Players who come across enemies exploiting out-of-bounds areas or cheating can report these incidents directly to the developer.
How to report cheaters in-games in Marvel Rivals
Players can report cheaters and hackers through the in-game menu or using the official Marvel Rivals Discord.
Here’s the step-by-step method for doing so.
- While in-game, open the menu
- Select “Settings”
- Go navigate to the “Report” section for the suspect player
- Fill out the report and submit
Marvel Rivals has a separate in-game section for community issues where players can also report cheaters or other toxic behavior. Unfortunately, players only really have access to it during the course of a game. Still this is the simplest way to inform the developer of a malicious player in the game. There are other methods, though.
How to report Marvel Rivals hackers on Discord
Players can report cheaters directly to Marvel Rivals developers through the official Discord server.
Some players may like a more direct approach to get some closure after losing an important game. For that, Marvel Rivals has opened direct DMs with its “Anti-cheat Bot.” This bot can be found on the official Discord server. Here’s the step-by-step process:
- Join Marvel Rivals Discord server
- Click on the Show Member List button in the top right corner
- Find and click on Anti-cheat Bot to send a direct message. The bot has its own role, which is online 24/7, so it shouldn’t be difficult to find it
- In the message section, type in details about the nature of cheating and include your player ID
- Click send to register a report against a cheater in Marvel Rivals
So far, the cheating situation in Marvel Rivals isn’t as bad as the ones seen in other prominent multiplayer shooters. This is likely due to the relative newness of the game and more hackers will find their way in over time. Developers have issued a general warning that using cheats will result in severe penalties, including a permanent game ban.
