Nintendo has revealed the schedule for a full Animal Crossing: New Horizons aquarium tour, confirming the dates, cities, and aquariums that will be included.
From October 2023 to March 2024, the Seattle Aquarium hosted an Animal Crossing: New Horizons event. Nintendo decided to turn the event into a tour, and will bring it to seven other cities around the US. Between photo ops with characters, Blathers’ insightful comments, and Nintendo Platinum Points, there’s a lot for fans to enjoy.
Fans only need general admission tickets for the aquarium to enjoy the Animal Crossing experience. The New Horizons event is only coming for select dates at each stop. Nintendo has revealed the full schedule for the tour, allowing fans of the series to start making plans.
Full schedule, list of cities for the Animal Crossing aquarium tour
The Animal Crossing aquarium tour will visit cities across the United States including New Orleans, Boston, and Atlanta.
A total of seven locations have been confirmed. Each stop is lengthy, with each venue hosting the Animal Crossing crew for up to 10 weeks.
The Animal Crossing aquarium tour will be at the following aquariums during these dates:
- Myrtle Beach, SC– Ripley’s Aquarium of Myrtle Beach (June 14, 2024 to August 11, 2024)
- New Orleans, LA– Audubon Aquarium (June 21, 2024 to September 14, 2024)
- Atlanta, GA– Georgia Aquarium (August 1, 2024 to September 26, 2024)
- Newport, OR– Oregon Coast Aquarium (August 26, 2024 to October 20, 2024)
- Boston, MA– New England Aquarium (September 21, 2024 to December 14, 2024)
- Tempe, AZ– Sea Life Arizona Aquarium (October 4, 2024 to November 17, 2024)
- Chattanooga, TN– Tennessee Aquarium (December 21, 2024 to February 28, 2025)
The general event lasts as long as the aquarium is open during the correct dates. However, there is a chance for fans to meet popular series characters like KK Slider. Each aquarium will have its own schedule for this. Visitors can call or visit the specific venue for more information.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans may want to brush up on the game before heading to the event. Filling the museum is a large part of the game, including fishing for the aquatic area. It’s a great way to pass the time while waiting for the Nintendo Switch 2.
What is there to do at the Animal Crossing aquarium tour?
The Animal Crossing aquarium tour will see the venues redecorated based on the games, and will feature character standees for photo-ops. Animal Crossing: New Horizon players can also get 100 Platinum Coins added to their Nintendo Account.
As part of the event, there will be meet-and-greets with KK Slider, Tom Nook, and Isabelle. There’s no schedule for when these characters will appear during the Animal Crossing aquarium tour. Fans may be able to find out through their local aquarium.
