On Tap is a social game at heart, but for players too shy to use voice chat, making drinks in the Roblox game can be entertaining all on its own. Here’s what you need to know.
What makes On Tap distinctive compared to other Roblox cooking-style games is the voice chat element, which is part of why it’s gated to players age 18 and older. The drink-making isn’t competitive or time-pressured the way a barista sim like Frappé can be. Instead, it’s more of a social sandbox where bartending is a vehicle for hanging out. People role-play bartender shifts, host friends at the bar, prank each other with weird drink combinations, and so on.
However, drink-making can be confusing for those that are new to On Tap. After all, the feature isn’t available from the get-go, and it’s not something you can simply find in your game menu. Here’s how to make drinks in Roblox’s On Tap.
How to make drinks for players in Roblox’s On Tap
To make drinks for other players, you simply need to stand behind the counter and interact with stations to assemble drinks. The core loop is: pick a glass, add ingredients in the right order, serve it. Players earn money for serving drinks correctly, which they can spend on shop items, drink skins, and upgrades.

Making drinks in On Tap comes down to following these simple steps:
- Grab the correct glass. Different drinks require different glassware: pint glass, rocks glass, martini glass, shot glass, cocktail glass, and so on. Remember that picking the wrong glass means the recipe won’t register. The glassware is stored on shelves behind the bar.
- Choose the base ingredients. This is usually the alcohol, pulled from taps for beer-style drinks, or from bottles for spirits like vodka, rum, gin, whiskey, and tequila.
- Interact with the tap or bottle and pour into your glass. Note that some drinks need exact amounts, so you have to stop pouring at the right moment.
- Add mixers and modifiers, like juice, soda, tonic, syrups, bitters, or cream. Each station around the bar has different options.
- Serve. Hand it to a customer or drink it yourself.
While it seems easy on paper, some drinks are actually quite hard to make.
For example, one ingredient called “Fish Scale” requires three players to sit under the in-game waterfall at the same time before it becomes available. Others tie to event drops or hidden interactions players have to discover. Such On Tap drinks as Zeus, Kraken, and “Bite of 87” are commonly cited as special menu items with elaborate or themed recipes, adding some extra flavor to making them.
It’s also worth noting that drink-making isn’t available for all players. Players must buy a $4.99 pass, and even that is strictly available to users aged 18 and older who have been verified through facial age estimation via their device camera or by submitting a government-issued ID proving their age.
