Alongside this, mass outbreaks also boast higher odds of encountering a shiny. The more Pokemon that are defeated during a mass outbreak, the better the odds become. Improved odds from the Shiny Charm, sandwiches, and mass outbreaks stack with one another, giving better odds of a shiny than anything seen before.

Sandwiches do not increase the odds of getting shiny Pokemon from eggs. The Sparkling Power effect from sandwiches only applies to Pokemon encountered in the world, and will not improve players’ chances of getting shinies from eggs or Tera Raids.
The best option for breeding shiny Pokemon remains the “Masuda Method.” This is the act of breeding together Pokemon caught by players using different languages on their save, which offers increased shiny odds. For example, if a player breeds together a Pikachu caught by a player who was playing the game in Japanese with a Ditto caught by an English-language player, eggs from that pairing have better shiny odds than a Japanese Pikachu and Japanese Ditto. The Shiny Charm’s improved shiny odds stack with the Masuda method.
In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, an egg has a 1/4,096 chance of being shiny under normal circumstances. This is improved to 6/4,096 by doing Masuda Method breeding, which is boosted to 8/4,096 by the Shiny Charm. The odds are still long at 1/512, but players are still eight times more likely to hatch a shiny through this method.
