HoYoverse’s first life simulation game, Petit Planet, is heading into a beta period that players are being invited to sign up for and join.
Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero creator HoYoverse is branching out from its usual gacha focus. August brought the reveal of Honkai: Nexus Anima, and September followed with the announcement of Petit Planet, a cosmic life simulation game in the vein of Animal Crossing. Joining a bevy of cozy games that are out on the market, Petit Planet sets itself apart by allowing players to settle onto a tiny planet while enjoying such laid-back activities as fishing, planting, harvesting crops, mining, crafting, and cooking.
Petit Planet has no official release date for now, but here’s a look at what’s known and how to register for the closed beta.
How to register for Petit Planet closed beta
With the announcement and trailer, Petit Planet has also launched its closed beta registration for both PC and mobile devices for interested players.

Petit Planet’s beta test is open to all players, and all they have to do is visit the game’s official website. At the bottom of the home screen, players will find a beta sign-up option. Signing up for the new game’s beta period requires logging in with an official HoYoverse account. Registration finishes after completing a series of questions in a survey and providing a registered email addresses.
Accepted players are typically notified of their beta access via email, so it’s best to keep a close eye on inboxes after applying to join up and play.
There’s no word yet on when exactly registration will close, so it’s best to sign up before the option disappears. Looking at past beta registrations, Honkai: Nexus Anima only gave players two weeks to sign up, and it’s possible Petit Planet will follow that same model. On the same page, players can also pre-register ahead of the game’s full release in order to receive exclusive rewards and freebies when the game does launch.
Currently, no exact release date, or even an approximate timeline, has been announced by HoYoverse for the full release of Petit Planet.
Alongside Petit Planet, HoYoverse is working on another project called Honkai Nexus Anima. The game held its first beta test in September, giving players an early look at what’s to come there. This timing suggests a possible release in 2026. If that schedule holds, Petit Planet may arrive sometime after Honkai Nexus Anima launches in 2026.
While fans might hope for the full game to release sooner, that longer development period would give HoYoverse plenty of time to iron out any kinks in its new cozy sim game to make sure players get the best possible version of the game once it’s finalized.
