The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC finally has a release date.
It’s about time to jump back into the wide world of Paldea a year after starting the latest Pokemon adventure on Nintendo Switch. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet debuted on the system in November 2022. Now, the question on everyone’s lips, is when will the new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC come out?
There’s a slew of new content expected with both parts of the DLC, which gives plenty of reason to dust off that Switch save file and start training. There are new Trainers to battle and new Pokemon to collect.
When does Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC come out?
The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC comes out in two parts, with Part 1: The Teal Mask coming on September 13, 2023.
The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Zero DLCwill come out in two parts. Players will have access to The Teal Mask this fall, according to the official Pokemon website. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC Part 2: The Indigo Disk will arrive in winter 2023, but no exact release date has been announced.
What does the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC add to the game?
The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC will add several new Pokemon, bring back hundreds of Pokemon from previous generations, and add new areas to the game.
Trainers will be able to embark on a brand new journey with Part 1: The Teal Mask and Part 2: The Indigo Disk when The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero debuts. The Teal Mask finds players leaving the Paldea region and venturing to the land of Kitakami to meet new Pokemon and investigate the strange mysteries plaguing the region.
This Japanese-inspired area lets players take part in the Festival of Masks event alongside new trainers Carmine and Kieran. The Teal Mask will also feature new Pokemon, including Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti, based on the Japanese folktale Momotaro. There will also be a new legendary Pokemon exclusive to The Teal Mask in Ogerpon.
The Indigo Disk gives players the chance to become an exchange student at the Blueberry Academy, an undersea facility that focuses on Pokemon battles. This half of the DLC will continue the expansion’s main storyline. with new characters and Pokemon being introduced along the way. Trainers will meet up with a second new legendary Pokemon named Terapagos in The Indigo Disk as well.
Rumors have been swirling about even more legendary Pokemon coming to the games, but it’s unclear if that will be the case. What isn’t a rumor is that the full list of Pokemon returning in the Scarlet and Violet DLC has been discovered by data miners, with hundreds of old friends set to be made available in Paldea.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC price, bundle details
The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC costs $34.99 for both parts.
As with Pokemon Sword and Shield, the two parts of the DLC are bundled together and cannot be purchased separately. There’s also a bundle available for purchase that combines either Pokemon Scarlet or Violet with the DLC for $94.99.
