Pokemon TCG Pocket: Best new decks using Eevee Grove

Pokemon TCG Pocket booster pack Eevee Grove.

Sylveon ex and Primarina are must-haves cards for any players looking to build the best decks from Eevee Grove in Pokemon TCG Pocket.

Eevee Grove is the newest booster set to be released in Pokemon TCG Pocket, debuting with 107 cards and focusing on popular Pokemon Eevee and its many evolutions. The new set introduces Umbreon, Espeon, and Sylveon to the mix while also adding new forms of the other four “Eeveelutions.” This is alongside numerous other Pokemon making their debut appearance in TCG Pocket.

Yet some Eevee Grove cards clearly stand out above others for their competitive merit in decks. For players looking to build the best decks from Eevee Grove, these are the cards they should be looking to pull.

Best new decks from Eevee Grove

Sylveon ex/Espeon

Sylveon ex is easily one of the best competitive cards to look for in Eevee Grove. A Stage 1 Pokemon with 140 HP, it only needs two energy to deal 70 damage. It additionally has an ability that, when played for the first time, allows the player to draw two extra cards. This, especially when combined with the Pokeball and Professor’s Research cards, makes it much easier to get Stage 2 cards or Supporters in play early.

Sylveon ex and Espeon make up one of the best possible decks from Eevee Grove in TCG Pocket.

The other major card in this deck is Espeon, another Eeveeloution. Espeon is a great card for late-game situations. Though it only has 100 HP, it dishes out 20 damage per energy attached to every opposing Pokemon combined, and that can be a devastating amount after several turns of play.

Players need to have both Eevee and Eevee ex in the deck for this lineup. This is possible because the ex version of Eeevee doesn’t count the same as the base version of the card. A very ambitious strategy could then involve four different evolutions in one deck, even if not all of them will be usable in each game played.

  • Eevee x2
  • Eevee ex x2
  • Sylveon ex x2
  • Espeon x2
  • Cyrus
  • Penny
  • Leaf x2
  • Giant Cape
  • Poison Barb
  • Eevee Bag x2
  • Professor’s Research x2
  • Pokeball x2

Primarina ex/Vaporeon

Primarina ex is another high damage dealer for a lower energy cost due to Hydropump. It has two moves: Hydro Pump and Sparkling Aura. Sparkling Aura is the bigger move here, taking three energy to deal 100 damage and heal 20 in return. Hydro Pump is more interesting, though. A one energy move, it can do an extra 40 damage with just one more energy attack. This essentially gives Primarina ex three different attacks that scale up nicely over time.

When played in combination with the Hau trainer card, Primarina could do up to 150 damage against a fire-type Pokemon. And with an HP of 180, it can withstand a big hit and continue playing.

Primarina ex and Vaporeon ex are a powerful duo from Eevee Grove in Pokemon TCG Pocket.

Eevee Grove’s Vaporeon is less powerful that Primarina ex but still a good water card. For three energy, Hyper Whirlpool does 70 damage. It also forces the opposing player to discard energy based on coin flip. Players who have Mythical Island cards may find an early Vaporeon card to be useful instead.

  • Popplio x2
  • Brionne or Rare Candy x2
  • Primarina ex x2
  • Eevee or Eevee ex x2
  • Vaporeon x2
  • Cyrus
  • Leaf
  • Misty
  • Hau x2
  • Eevee Bag
  • Pokeball x2
  • Professor’s Research x2

Other cards that could be part of the best decks from Eevee Grove include Dragonite ex, Tsareena, and Snorlax ex.

No matter what deck a player decides on, a good way to test them on solo AI battles. They can get both experience and, for their first completion of each battle, more hourglasses to pull more Eevee Grove cards.
