Where can I watch the Sakamoto Days Anime?

Sakamoto Days will premiere on Netflix in January 2025. Unlike other Netflix series where entire seasons are dropped at once, Sakamoto Days will see one episode released each week.

Sakamoto Days follows the life of a legendary retired hitman who wants to protect his family from a bounty placed on him. It follows Taro Sakamoto a brilliant hitman who both villains and rivals fear. However, as luck would have it, he retires after meeting and falling in love with Aio.

Once they are married, Sakamoto lets himself go and transforms into a plus-size husband and father who runs a mom-and-pop store in a quiet town. His old life still comes back to haunt him, though. To protect his family and the life he has built the legendary ex-hitman recruits colleagues and they fight off assassins.

When Sakamoto is in a dangerous situation, he sheds his weight and gains twice his old strength. This superhuman ability helps him fight the looming threat that wants to destroy his peaceful life.
