Thanks to Amazon Japan, we now know the release date for when Kingdom Hearts fans will be getting their hands on the Sora amiibo figurine, and it’s coming very soon.
Nintendo’s amiibo figurines of different characters have been coming out since 2014. While the Sora amiibo figurine was announced on September 14 of this year, an official release date didn’t come with it. But thanks to a reveal from Amazon Japan, there’s a high chance that the approximate release date of Sora’s amiibo has been leaked.
When will the Sora amiibo be released?
The Sora amiibo will be released around early January 2024 according to estimated delivery dates of Amazon JPN pre-orders.
Although Sora’s amiibo figurine was first announced back in September 2023, there hasn’t been an official release date announced by Nintendo as of yet. The Sora amiibo was recently listed on Amazon JPN, which suggests it might be coming sooner rather than later.
Fans who pre-ordered the Sora amiibo noticed that the estimated delivery time for their purchases landed around early January 2024. This gives an indication of when to expect the amiibo to officially launch.
While there’s a chance that this might be just a mistake on Amazon’s part, that seems very unlikely. Amazon’s estimation times have a reputation for almost always being accurate.
Where can you preorder Sora amiibo?
At this time, you can only preorder Sora amiibo through Amazon, though it luckily isn’t an Amazon JPN exclusive as many people since assumed.
Sora was the last character to be added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, so he’s almost a part of the Nintendo family at this point. Add the fact that Kingdom Hearts 4 is on the horizon, and there’s no better time than now to capitalize on the Sora hype train.
The last amiibo Nintendo launched were the Ganondorf amiibo and the Zelda amiibo, globally distributed on November 3. They were both released in celebration of the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which came out earlier in the year.
