Controversial Twitch streamer John “Tectone” Robertson has stated his intentions to multistream content on various platforms, and that will include Kick.
Tectone is a Twitch streamer frequently in the news for his hard takes on sensitive topics. Despite that, the streamer has managed to stay on the good side of Twitch and has only been banned from the platform once. That suspension was because he watched the anime Solo Leveling during a stream.
Tectone’s career at Twitch is apparently stable, so it may be surprising for some fans to hear that he plans to multistream his content. The streamer explained in a new stream why he decided to utilize other platforms for his content, and he also recommended other Twitch content creators stream their content on multiple platforms including Kick.
Tectone blames Twitch ad revenue decline for streaming on Kick
Tectone stated that Twitch ad revenue is “still down 25% of what it was” and that other Twitch streamers like him will soon start switching to other platforms like Kick.
The streamer blamed Twitch’s lack of action and communication as the reason why he’ll stream on other platforms. Tectone claims Twitch’s ad revenue has decreased significantly and that this will lead to the platform’s streamers migrating elsewhere. He told fans that if they enjoy his content, they should support the streamer on different platforms.

Tectone stated that he will start to stream on both Kick and X. He didn’t give a reason for streaming on Kick but said he believed Zack “Asmongold” Hoyt and Elon Musk will make X streaming great, so he wants to get a head start there.
Fans have generally reacted positively to the news of Tectone streaming on multiple platforms.
Many viewers have claimed that Kick may fare better for Tectone than X, but have commended the streamer for increasing his content’s exposure regardless. Many streamers these days multistream content to get the best out of each platform. This helps expand their viewership and ultimately get more eyes on their streams.
Kick may solve Tectone’s main problem with Twitch as the Stake-owned platform offers a better revenue split for its content creators. The streamer said Twitch’s ad revenue is down and the platform hasn’t issued a sufficient response to the problem, so Tectone may be wanting to multistream on Kick for its better financial prospects. Kick hasn’t lately been providing large deals to migrating Twitch streamers, but content creators can still potentially earn a substantial amount of money on the platform.
