The best upgrades and materials to make Evelyn broken in ZZZ

zenless evelyn materials

Evelyn’s materials have finally been unveiled, so it’s time for Zenless Zone Zero fans to start stocking up.

Version 1.5 welcomes two agents from the Stars of Lyra faction, with Evelyn Chevalier. With Evelyn stepping in as ZZZ’s first S-rank limited Fire agent, it looks like Soldier 11 has some competition on the way. Gameplay-wise, Evelyn is a DPS who mixes close-quarters and ranged attacks using strings and whips, drawing similarities with Yelan from Genshin Impact and Kafka from Honkai: Star Rail.

Even though the release of the Stars of Lyra agents is still some time away, players can start preparing by farming all Evelyn materials early.

All Evelyn promotion materials in ZZZ

Leveling up Evelyn to 60 involves picking up 4 Basic Attack Certification Seals, 32 Advanced Attack Certification Seals, 30 Pioneer’s Certification Seals, and 800,000 dennies.

In Zenless Zone Zero, Evelyn’s promotion takes six levels and here’s a breakdown of everything players need for each one:

  • Level 20: 4 Basic Attack Certification Seal and 24,000 dennies
  • Level 30: 12 Advanced Attack Certification Seal and 56,000 dennies
  • Level 40: 20 Advanced Attack Certification Seal and 120,000 dennies
  • Level 50: 10 Pioneer’s Certification Seal and 200,000 dennies
  • Level 60: 20 Pioneer’s Certification Seal and 400,000 dennies

How to get Evelyn promotion materials

For attack-specialty agents like Evelyn, Attack Certification Seals are what players need to upgrade them. Going through the Combat Simulation modes in the VR device and shelling out some batteries is the most straightforward method of farming Attack Certification Seals. But if they have enough dennies to spare, players may also bag some from the 141 Convenience Store.

Evelyn skill level-up materials

All Evelyn materials required to upgrade her skills include 2 Basic Burn Chips, 15 Advanced Burn Chips, 50 Specialized Burn Chips, 1 Hamster Cage Pass, and 500,000 dennies.

It takes twelve levels to max out Evelyn’s skills, and here’s what players need for each upgrade:

  • Level 2: 2 Basic Burn Chips, 2,000 dennies
  • Level 3: 3 Basic Burn Chips, 3,000 dennies
  • Level 4: 2 Advanced Burn Chips and 6,000 dennies
  • Level 5: 3 Advanced Burn Chips and 9,000 dennies
  • Level 6: 4 Advanced Burn Chips and 12,000 dennies
  • Level 7: 6 Advanced Burn Chips and 18,000 dennies
  • Level 8: 5 Specialized Burn Chips and 45,000 dennies
  • Level 9: 8 Specialized Burn Chips and 67,500 dennies
  • Level 10: 10 Specialized Burn Chips and 90,000 dennies
  • Level 11: 12 Specialized Burn Chips and 112,500 dennies
  • Level 12: 15 Specialized Burn Chips, 1 Hamster Cage Pass, and 135,000 dennies

Fastest ways to get Evelyn skill level-up materials

Much like attack certification seals, Burn Chips are exclusive to Fire agents, and farming them is just as easy. Specifically, they can acquire them from Combat Simulation mode, through Agent Skill and Heating Test. If players run low on tactical chips or batteries, Original Chips can serve as a backup.

To fully max out her skill and reach level 12, players will need an item called Hamster Cage Pass. Proxies can earn up to three Hamster Cage Passes for each patch. The first comes from participating in the flagship event, which usually lasts the whole patch, and the other two are available through ZZZ’s battlepass and the New Eridu City Fund at level 30.

All Evelyn core skill materials

Upgrading Evelyn’s core skills involves farming 60 Higher Dimensional Data: Crimson Awe, 9 Finale Dance Shoes, and 405,000 Dennies.

Evelyn’s core skills can be upgraded up to level F, with the materials needed increasing at each upgrade.

  • A: 5,000 dennies
  • B: 2 Higher Dimensional Data: Steel Malice and 12,000 dennies
  • C: 4 Higher Dimensional Data: Steel Malice and 28,000 dennies
  • D: 9 Higher Dimensional Data: Steel Malice, 2 Scarlet Engine, and 60,000 dennies
  • E: 15 Higher Dimensional Data: Steel Malice, 3 Scarlet Engine, and 100,000 dennies
  • F: 30 Higher Dimensional Data: Steel Malice, 4 Scarlet Engine, and 200,000 dennies

How to farm Evelyn core skill materials

Players can get Evelyn’s core skill materials by defeating Hans – Energized in the HIA and Corrupted Overlord Pompey in Scott Outpost Notorious Hunts.

HoYoverse threw players a curveball when it comes to pre-farming Evelyn’s materials. Originally, she was powered up by Finale Dance Shoes. This is the upgrade materials used by other agents like Piper and Rina, dropped by the Twin Marionettes. Unfortunately for those who pre-farmed materials well in advance, they’ll have to wait to use them on another character in the future. Now, they’ll have to grind different bosses.

Players can challenge Notorious Hunt bosses and claim their drops up to three times per week for free. After that, each attempt costs 60 batteries.

Before heading to the boss, players may want to stop by the Scott Outpost Logistic Shop to find an NPC named Casper. By spending Z-Merits, they can receive up to four Reserved Relics each month. Opening a Reserved Relic will grant a drop of choice from any boss.
