ZZZ: Best Rina build, W-Engines, Drive Disc, and team comp

rina build guide

The right build combination of W-Engines and Drive Disc sets, and the right team composition can make Rina one of the best agents in ZZZ, capable of buffing up the entire squad while electrifying enemies.

Rina is an S-Rank agent who can do wonders when paired with other agents from Victoria Housekeeping. As an electric-focused support agent, Rina has some of the best features in the game, making her a solid overall support character with great universal buffs. The standout agent also utilizes two puppets with electric and physical damage alongside her solid ranged attacks.

But of course, a strategic team setup and proper build is crucial for unleashing her full potential. Here’s the full breakdown of how to make the most of Rina in Zenless Zone Zero.

How to play Rina in ZZZ

Rina stands out in ZZZ thanks to her hit-and-run potential and universal buffs.

She sets herself apart from the pack with her ranged attacks, weird puppets, and universal buffs. Alongside this is the ability to float around the battlefield. Her high mobility and good dodge make her one of the best support DPS agents in Zenless Zone Zero.

Her boost to the entire squad’s PEN Ratio has already made her a popular support. That’s only natural, considering her off-field damage and two highly useful puppets, Anastella and Drusilla. Rina also has a good damage output alongside solid Anomaly buildup.

However, Rina’s best aspect lies in her Core Passive, which offers a 30% increase in the squad PEN Ratio. This passive skill activates when Rina’s puppets, Anastella and Drusilla are on the battlefield.

Banquet of Perfection activates when another character in the squad is of the same faction and shares the same attribute. It increases shock durations dealt by any character for 3 seconds alongside a boost to electric damage by 10% for every squad member. Assuming she has a proper build, these features Rina one of the best quick-swap agents in ZZZ.

But while she has a lot to offer to ZZZ players, it’s essential to maximize her potential with the best Rina W-Engines, Disc Drives, Bangboo, and team compositions.

Best Rina W-Engines in Zeneless Zone Zero

The best Rina W-Engine in Zenless Zone Zero is the S-Rank Weeping Cradle, but the A-Rank Slice of Time and Kaboom the Cannon are also viable. Here’s a breakdown of each one and what they have to offer Rina’s build.

rina build w-engine

Weeping Cradle (S-Rank)

The Weeping Cradle increases Rina’s PEN Ratio while also boosting her most vital stat, Energy Regen, when she’s not on the field. Another great feature of Weeping Cradle is its boost to the damage of other squad members for 3 seconds. While it only activates when Rina hits her target, it’s still another universal buff.

Slice of Time (A-Rank)

Slice of Time is a great W-Engine for Rina, as well as Nicole, Soukaku, and Lucy. What it makes good for Rina is its 20% PEN Ratio and buff to Energy Regen. It also adds a buff to Decibel generation when a squad member launches a Dodge Counter, EX Special Attack, Assist, or Chain Attack. It’s a strong option for Rina, but not as good as Weeping Cradle, and its helpfulness on other characters might take priority. It’s still the definitive second-best option for Rina, though.

Kaboom the Cannon (A-Rank)

Those who lack Weeping Cradle and Slice of Time can go with Kaboom the Cannon, as it’s a good alternative for one of the best Rina builds in ZZZ. It stacks up to four times when the target is hit. You can’t go wrong with its passive boost to Energy Regen, too.

Unfettered Game Ball (A-Rank)

Unfettered Game Ball is one of the best Rina W-Engines in the game, thanks to its boosts that apply to the whole squad. The A-Rank W-Engine enhances the Crit Rate of all squad members when Rina’s attack triggers an Attribute Counter.

Reverb Mark II or Reverb Mark III

When Rina bursts out a Chain Attack or an EX Special Attack, Mark II increases the whole squad’s Anomaly Mastery and Anomaly Proficiency. Like other great Rina W-Engines, it also increases the agent’s Energy Regen, allowing her to use her EX Special Attack at shorter intervals. Mark III, on the other hand, provides a much-needed increase to Rina’s HP and the squad’s ATK.

Rina Drive Disc

The best Rina Drive Disc sets in Zenless Zone Zero

Drive Discs in ZZZ are what Artifacts were in Genshin Impact. While agents in ZZZ already have a general style they gravitate toward, the Drive Disc sets allow players to take them in a different direction

For instance, the best Rina Drive Disc sets make the S-Tier agent a better asset for certain team compositions. However, increasing her Anomaly Proficiency is also an option instead of prioritizing team bonuses. There are a few options regarding the best Drive Disc for Rina in ZZZ.

Rina’s best Drive Disc set- 4-piece Swing Jazz and 2-piece Freedom Blues

The 4-piece Swing Jazz and 2-piece Freedom Blues are the sweet spot between universal buffs and individual boosts. The 4-piece Swing Jazz offers all squad members a 15% damage boost for 12 seconds after launching a Chain Attack. Conversely, the two-piece latter provides a much-needed increase to Rina’s Anomaly Proficiency by 30.

Drive Disc set to boost energy regen- 4-piece Freedom Blues and 2-piece Swing Jazz

The 2-piece Swing Jazz increases Rina’s energy regeneration by 20% while the 4-piece Freedom Blues reduces the anomaly buildup resistance of the enemy by 20% for eight whopping seconds. It’s an excellent alternative for those running for a more anomaly-focused Rina build in ZZZ.

Bonus: Drive Disc set for Rina – 4-piece Swing Jazz and 2-piece Puffer Electro

Alternatively, you can also combine the Swing Jazz (4) with Puffer Electro (2) to increase the PEN Ratio with its 10% boost to ATK. While you can also boast a 4-piece Puffer Electro, that kind of boost to ATK would be overkill in a Rina build. It’s also worth noting that this Drive Disc set goes perfectly well with Grace and Anton in the squad.

Zenless Zone Zero: Best Rina team compositions

The optimal Rina team composition in Zenless Zone Zero is Rina, Grace, and Anton.

This trio offers the best possible electricity output. Having Grace and Anton alongside Rina activates Rina’s additional ability of Victoria Housekeeping. It increases the duration of Shock while offering a substantial boost of 15% to Electric DMG of the entire squad.

This electrifying trio is perfect for using Rina’s universal buffs and the sweet PEN Ratio boost. This composition can also bypass a Stun Agent. There are only a handful of teams like this one when it comes to neutralizing the scaling damage of Stun Agents in Zenless Zone Zero.

Alternatively, Piper, Grace, and Rina is also a very strong team composition.

This is another fantastic group that thrives on Rina’s support abilities. This trio has Piper and Grace dealing burst damage while Rina supports the team by inflicting Shock and providing buffs. What makes Rina a great addition to this team is her great buildup stats.

Those who want to create the best team compositions for Rina in ZZZ on a free-to-play basis can group her with Billy and Anby. This shifts Rina from a support agent to more of a Shock provider. That’s why focusing on Anomaly Proficiency instead of others is a good idea for this team composition in Zenless Zone Zero.
