Black Myth: Wukong is an action RPG that requires leveling up weapons and Refined Iron Sand is an upgrade material that players will want to farm. That’s easier said than done for much of the game, though.
There is a ton of combat in the shockingly popular Black Myth: Wukong and most fights involve unique bosses that can test a player’s skills. With over 80 bosses, players must keep Wukong and his weapons leveled up and ready. Getting into combat is easy, but players will be at a major disadvantage without the proper equipment.

The most reliable way to farm Refined Iron Sand in Black Myth: Wukong is defeating enemies; particularly Yaoguai Chiefs in the early-game.
Refined Iron Sand can be obtained in a variety of ways, but is quite scarce in the opening chapters. However, the resource becomes more readily available once the player reaches chapter three in the game. Before then, getting hold of the item will be a struggle. The most reliable way to amass a surplus of Refined Iron Sand is by defeating bosses. After a point, players won’t have trouble finding it.
Before then, here are the best options to farm Refined Iron Sand.
Opening chests
The most frequent way players can obtain Refined Iron Sand is by opening chests. Exploration is the key here, looking up every nook and cranny of the map to find chests and open them to get the precious resource.
That said, this isn’t a true method to “farm” Refined Iron Sand in Black Myth: Wukong. The loot is randomized, so there is no way of knowing which chest contains Refined Iron Sand and there aren’t an infinite number of chests to open. Still, this will be the most frequent method players use in the early game.
Buying it from a store
Players can purchase Refined Iron Sand directly from in-game shops. However, the resource is limited and cannot be purchased in bulk. This method is great in a pinch but won’t become the main way of obtaining resources.
From fallen enemies
Black Myth: Wukong’s strong mobs and bosses, have a chance of dropping Refined Iron Sand when killed and are the best way to farm the item. The loot is random, but this is the best option for finding the material early on and for getting an infinite supply. Killing mobs, eventually, lets the player earn the much-needed item.
