After months of rumors, it appears that The Crow is officially coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, but fans aren’t getting the Eric Draven they were hoping for.
Call of Duty fans have long expected The Crow to arrive in the game. As part of this, there was much discussion about which version of the character would appear. While fans voiced that they’d prefer the original version played by Brandon Lee in 1994, there was expectation and dread that Bill Skarsgard’s 2024 reimagining of the character would appear.
Leaks then got out that had players speculating that The Crow would be part of an operator bundle for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone due to the new movie coming out. This became even more likely when a Season 5 roadmap showed a silhouette of The Crow, and it definitely looked more like Skarsgard. Well, Activision has now announced the official crossover.
Which The Crow actor will be in Call of Duty?
Bill Skarsgard’s The Crow is seemingly set to arrive in Call of Duty, likely closing the door on Brandon Lee’s version of the character appearing. The face isn’t revealed but but the tattooed hand and voice seem to confirm this.
The reaction has been largely negative. A lot of Call of Duty fans have expressed adamantly that they won’t be buying the skin, saying: “Not my Eric Draven.” Many have compared the new version of The Crow to a SoundCloud mumble rapper and have continued to ask for the OG version. That’s not what Activision has gone with, likely due to the new movie coming out.
It’s unclear what else will be in the operator bundle or how much it will cost just yet. Depending what’s included, operator bundles in Call of Duty range from 1,600 to 2,400 COD Points.

The Crow operator bundle will arrive in Call of Duty on August 22, 2024.
This is just a day before the new film, which comes out August 23. Similar to Call of Duty players, movie fans are also skeptical about Skarsgard in the new film.
A recently shared clip from the movie has mixed reviews from The Crow fans. For some, it left them feeling nostalgic for the style of the original while others felt the acting and action was solid.
Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 has also had plenty of WWE content and more, leading up to a possible midseason update, which may be around August 21.
