TI13 Compendium: The best fantasy mid, core, and support players

the international 2024 logo

The TI13 Compendium’s fantasy mini-game is open and players can make their pick for the best mid, support, and core in the group stage.

The International 2024 won’t feature a particularly big prize pool, at least relative to what Dota 2 fans have come to expect. It’s still set to face a who’s who of top teams from around the globe. As ever, fans can stay engaged and get rewarded for doing so.

The TI13 fantasy mini-game is largely the same as what players worked with back in 2023. Players once again need to pick out competitors across all three stages and receive points based on their in-game stats. Once again, players need to massage this further by re-rolling what stats are counted and adding modifiers to them. Though RNG will inherently determine the stats and modifiers, players still control the roster they choose. Here are the best cores, mid-laners, and supports to choose.

From there, players should try and roll for the highest stats. The best stats for each individual player varies slightly based on their team’s strategy, but there are some stats to avoid for each position.

Which players to choose for the TI13 Compendium fantasy mini-game

It’s impossible to say who will perform the best at TI13 ahead of the event. That’s doubly the case due to the randomness attached to which stats and modifiers players have access to. There are a few important notes, however.

Anyone playing the fantasy mini-game should make sure to have a position-one in the core position and a position-five in the support position. In both cases, these roles average much higher point totals than the alternative. Here are the best options for each role.

The favorites to win The International 2024 are largely the same as they were in 2023, even if the rosters have changed a bit. There’s plenty of flexibility afforded to players when picking their fantasy roster in the TI13 Compendium, but here are the best mid, core, and support players.

Yatoro, a professional Dota 2 player.

Best core for TI13 fantasy mini-game – Raddan

Team Spirit’s Illya “Raddan” Mulyarchuk is the best option for the core position.

The whole of Team Spirit historically performs very well for fantasy purposes and the team’s TI12-winning roster returns in full for TI13. Not only that, but the team looked generally solid throughout the season, most notably winning PGL Wallachia. This isn’t to say that fans should expect Team Spirit to win The International for a third time but at this point, the player formerly known as Yatoro should be looked at as a premier fantasy option.

Also consider-

  • Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov
  • Wang “Ame” Chunyu
  • Oliver “skiter” Lepko
Malr1ne

Best mid for TI13 fantasy mini-game – Malr1ne

Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak of Team Falcons is a strong pick for the TI13 Compendium.

Team Falcons is one of the clear favorites to win The International 2024, alongside Gaimin Gladiators and Team Spirit. Malr1ne and Falcons enter with the hottest hand, taking first place in a slew of events during the season as recently as FISSURE Universe: Episode 3 on August 25. The mid position is a tough one to pin down and much of it will boil down to who fits best into the “TI meta,”but Malr1ne’s the safest bet overall.

Also consider-

  • Denis “Larl” Sigitov
  • Quinn “Quinn” Callahan
  • Michał “Nisha” Jankowski
Insania Dota 2

Best support for TI13 Compendium fantasy – Insania

Team Liquid is being regarded as something of a dark horse when it comes to TI13, and that shouldn’t be the case. The team flew under the radar with consistently decent finishes in major events. The team shifted gears from “decent” to “elite” over the summer, taking second place in Riyadh Masters and winning Elite League Season 2. For whatever reason, Team Liquid is looked at as middle-of-the-pack.

Players can take advantage of that by picking Aydin “Insania” Sarkohi as their support for the TI13 fantasy game

Also consider-

  • Ding “Dy” Cong
  • Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp
  • Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov
