What platforms can I play Genshin Impact on?
Genshin Impact is available to play on PC, PlayStation consoles, iOS, and Android devices. However, it is not yet available on Xbox consoles or Nintendo Switch.
Much like Fortnite, Genshin Impact’s availability on PC, mobile devices, and consoles is a significant part of its popularity. The game runs well on all devices and with cross-saves, players can play at home and then take their characters on the go with their a mobile device with an internet connection.
Unfortunately for Xbox users, neither HoYoverse nor miHoYo has made an official announcement regarding a release on Xbox One or Xbox Series consoles. This is not the case for Nintendo Switch, as Genshin Impact officially announced in its Japanese trailer that the game will be available on Nintendo Switch. That has not yet come to pass and fans wonder if a Switch release is ever going to happen.
While it has been three years since the game’s initial reveal, developers were responding to inquiries as recently as 2022 by saying that a Nintendo Switch version of Genshin Impact is in the works. Unfortunately, that’s the only news there has been thus far.
