The Genshin Impact 4.1 special program gave players the long-awaited release dates for Wriothesley and Neuvillette, a new round of primogem redemption codes, and teases of new quests and characters.
With Genshin Impact moving towards the end of version 4.0, a September 15 livestream revealed a significant amount of new content for players to experience. Version 4.1 will add the usual roundup of new quests and new characters. And with Genshin Impact’s anniversary approaching, the 4.1 update will also serve as host for a celebration event that promises to be better than Dota 2’s.
Although the anniversary rewards differ from what some players were expecting, Genshin Impact still rewards players with primogems. Speaking of primogems, Genshin Impact has also released three redemption codes for free primogems and items alongside the preview of the Genshin Impact 4.1 banners.
Release dates revealed for Genshin Impact 4.1, Neuvillette and Wriothesley banners
Genshin Impact 4.1 will release banners with Neuvillette and Hu Tao in the first phase, then Wriothesley and Venti will be released in the second phase. Alongside the new characters, there will also be two new weapons.
Neuvillette and Hu Tao will be released in Genshin Impact as part of the first phase on September 27, 2023. Neuvillette’s signature weapon, Tome of the Eternal Flow, will also be released along with Neuvillette in the first phase of the Genshin Impact 4.1 update.
The release date for the Wriothesley and Venti banner is October 18, 2023 which coincides with phase two. The second phase will then see the release of Wriothesley and his signature weapon, Cashflow Supervision.
The Staff of Homa will be available on Hu Tao’s banner in the first phase for the rerun characters. At the same time, Elegy for the End will also be available on Venti’s banner in the second phase of the Genshin Impact 4.1 update.

What element is Neuvillette in Genshin Impact?
Neuvillette is a Hydro Catalyst character.
The new addition is seemingly a DPS character. The water beam he uses seems to be his charged attack, making him a character that needs to be played on-field, essentially making him the main DPS of a team. The Genshin Impact 4.1 livestream also shows the HP mechanic on Neuvillette’s kit, which has been seen on earlier Fontaine characters.
What element will Wriothesley be?
Wriothesley is a Cryo Catalyst character, according to the Genshin Impact 4.1 livestream.
Wriothesley is set to be another new DPS option for Genshin Impact players. Wriothesley’s kit heavily relies on normal attacks to deal damage, making him a relatively short-ranged catalyst user. Players can look forward to experimenting with both characters when they officially release.
