Disney Dreamlight Valley has confirmed the release date for its long-awaited multiplayer update and Jack Skellington’s release in the game
Gameloft’s cozy Disney game officially had its very own 30-minute showcase, showing fans and players worldwide what will be coming to the game in both the short and long-term future. The Disney Dreamlight Valley team discussed four content updates that will be coming to the game, as well as its transition out of early access.
The game will receive its last update for the year with a major content update in December, giving players something exciting right before Christmas. Here’s what will be added to the game and when to expect it.
Jack Skellington, multiplayer coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley
Halloween might be over, but Christmas is coming as Disney Dreamlight Valley will bring both multiplayer and Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
This will be part of the next content update for the game. Alongside Jack will be Eve from Wall-E and Gaston from Beauty and the Beast, adding to the lengthy questline of Belle and Beast.
Multiplayer was a feature that players have known to be coming since seeing the update roadmap earlier this year. With only two months remaining before 2024, the multiplayer update was expected to happen between November and December. The showcase demonstrated how the game will allow players to travel to other valleys, trade with their friends, and even shop with them as well.
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s multiplayer update, Jack Skellington, Eve, and Gaston will all arrive on December 5, 2023. The developers promised that Disney Dreamlight Valley will continue to add features as time goes on, hinting that the possible changes within Disney’s gaming department won’t undermine the game’s longevity. The release windows for its successive content updates were also confirmed.
Players will also see Rapzunel come to the Valley, but there’s no news on if or when Flynn Rider will be joining her. The roadmap confirms even more characters that will be added to Disney Dreamlight Valley in the months to come.
With the promise of new biomes and characters from titles including Pixar’s Monsters, Inc., the player count will likely continue to grow. This could be accelerated as the developers confirmed the game will be coming to Apple Arcade, allowing even more iOS users to jump in on December 5th.
