Gold still talks in Dragon Age: The Veilguard and there are a few ways to farm money quickly.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard has generally received positive reviews from fans and critics, which likely came as a relief for Bioware. Many former fans and even newbies to the franchise have begun to play the latest entry in the beloved dark fantasy franchise. Though the game is unique, it still has all the standard trappings of an RPG.
Getting absurdly rich is one of the most fun things about any RPG, especially in the early game. Being able to afford high-level gear makes the experience easier and more fun in many cases. Thankfully for gold fiends, Veilguard offers plenty of ways to farm gold fast.
How to farm gold in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Breaking containers and farming specific enemies are the fastest ways to farm gold reliably in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. From regular side quests to cheesing the system, Veilguard doesn’t lack options for the enterprising adventurer. The best way to gold is ultimately a matter of playing the game and being thorough. However, there are a few specific things the player can do to get some extra cash.
Respawning containers
Multiple locations in the game have breakable vases, barrels, and various containers that contain loot and gold. An easy, cheesy way to farm money early in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is by destroying all the breakables, gathering the loot, and fast-traveling back to the location. Alternatively, players can save after they destroy all the vases in an area, then reload to respawn everything.
Doing so will respawn the breakables, and players can repeat the cycle for as much as they want. Once done, they can sell the loot to whatever merchants will take them. One of the best areas to do this is in a specific storage room in Dock Town, within Minrathous, seen around this area of the map below.
Marketplaces also tend to have many vases, and since players often visit merchants throughout the game, it pays to break them with each visit for some extra gold. Remember, players can only sell to Faction merchants, so focus on them over regular merchants.
Farming Enemies
Much like containers, enemies will also respawn once a player revisits a region. Enemies will drop a variety of loot, which players can then sell to merchants. Plus, farming enemies yields bonus XP, making players progress faster at the same time.
When farming enemies, it’s the perfect time to use companions the players rarely use. Strengthening bonds unlocks new dialogue options and even questlines, which in turn provide more XP and rewards. Though the churn of defeating enemies is a great way to farm money in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the benefits are much greater.
Map Exploration
The Veilguard actively rewards the curious player, as there are multiple chests spread across each area. These chests have a higher chance of giving high-quality resources and loot than farming enemies and containers. That said, these chests can only be opened once.
Even so, there are enough of them to make the exploration a worthy endeavor. Unique chests, especially during specific quests, should not be missed out on, as it may get harder to revisit those areas later on.
