PSN Germany reportedly leaked the roster for Tekken 8’s DLC characters, hinting that old fan favorites including Eddy Gordo and Roger the Kangaroo might be playable over the coming months.
The competitive fighting game Tekken 8 was announced late last year and has seen a slew of character reveals since then. While the full list of characters for Tekken 8’s launch has been confirmed, with Reina being the final addition to the roster, there hasn’t been any official announcement regarding the game’s future DLC characters. However, an alleged accident by the German PlayStation Store might have leaked the full season one cast.
The German PlayStation Store page for Tekken 8: Deluxe Edition reportedly had a brief listing that included a full list of contents, including the characters that will be added via the season pass. This was reportedly taken down, but not before it was screen-grabbed and posted across the internet.
Every Tekken 8 Season 1 DLC Character
According to leaks, the first season of Tekken 8 DLC characters will include Roger the Kangaroo, Xiao Meng, Armor King, and Eddy Gordo.
The PSN Germany leak showcases the aforementioned fighters, none of which have officially been announced by Bandai Namco or Arika. Bandai Namco did confirm that at least four more characters would be added to the Tekken 8 roster through the first season of the game, which aligns with this leak as all the characters were mentioned as being part of Fighters Pass 1.
While Roger, Armor King, and Eddy Goro are all familiar Tekken characters, Xiao Meng seems to be a completely new character to the series. There are also some questions regarding the returning characters included in the DLC, like if players will play as Roger Sr. or Roger Jr.
Since the release date of Tekken 8 is inching closer, some of these characters will likely be announced very soon to keep the game’s hype going. With Tekken 8 being confirmed to be part of the Evo Japan 2024 game lineup, a DLC character announcement might take place there.
What else is included in the Tekken 8 Deluxe Edition?
In addition to these four DLC characters, the Tekken 8 Deluxe Edition will also reportedly include the Tekken 8 base game, Fighter Pass 1 DLC, avatar skins, and fighter costumes.
A complete list of cosmetics reportedly included in the Tekken 8 Deluxe Edition is given below:
- An avatar skin named Kinjin
- Gold Suit Pack
- Kangaroo Costume Pack
- Paul Phoenix-Set avatar costume pack
- Tetsujin avatar skin
- Mokujin avatar skin
What’s interesting is that the Paul Phoenix-Set costume pack and the Mokujin avatar skin were both asterisked, indicating that there’s some catch to their existence. It’s not yet clear what that might be.
