YouTuber and streamer Yousef Saleh “Fousey” Erakat had fans and coworkers concerned after “going missing,” but he is seemingly fine enough to respond to messages.

Fousey was once among the most popular channels on YouTube, garnering millions of views for his pranks and lifestyle vlogs. However, recent personal troubles have significantly affected the creator’s content and left many fans worried. Recently, FouseyTube began claiming” streamers like Adin Ross and Nicolas “Sneako” Balinthazy had “connections” and scammed him in a confusing live stream.

Ross, perhaps unsurprisingly, began feuding with Fousey and responded publicly. Fousey had previously attempted to jump onto Adin Ross and Sneako’s car in September 2024. However, the news turned worrisome as Fousey was announced missing on Twitter.

Is Fousey missing?

Fousey is no longer missing, and has been in contact with his management team after vanishing for a day.

On Fousey’s X account, a statement was made that the content creator has been missing “since last night,” being the night of October 2, 2024. The streamer is said to have missed his flight to Atlanta, and his team and family are worried about him to the point where they publicly announced this.

They urged fans with any information about FouseyTube to contact @DeemG7 on Discord or message the account on Twitter. Management then updated the situation, stating that FouseyTube had withdrawn $1,000 from an ATM in San Diego in the early morning. His home was empty when the family checked, but his suitcases were gone.

From there, those in control of Fousey’s X account posted what appear to be scam attempts. These include screenshots showing people messaging the account claiming to know where FouseyTube is, but demanding money for the information. These accounts were blocked by Fousey’s social media team.

Reactions to the news of Fousey going missing was largely met with concern about his safety.

“I watched that entire “call out” stream, and it was pretty obvious to me he was manic. We’ve seen this over and over again with him. I hope he gets the help he very clearly needs,” said one Redditor about the situation.

Some viewers theorized Fousey may just be pulling a PR stunt but, given the situation, most fans err on the side of caution and believe management’s statements. Regardless, the content creator’s recent actions worried viewers.

Fousey responds to messages, says he is “safe”

Fousey’s management team posted screenshots showing that he is responding to messages on his phone.

Several hours after announcing that Fousey was missing, his management team updated fans to assuage fears. The update included a screenshot of a text message where the YouTuber criticized his manager for publicizing the incident. He states that he is “tired of everyone micromanaging every second” of his life and alludes to being pushed toward rehab, but notes that he is safe.

While some manner of conflict led to Fousey unplugging, it’s unclear what this was. Regardless, fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
