With Version 5.4 on the horizon, the full list of Citlali’s materials needed to ascend her and her talents has been revealed, giving players an early start on pre-farming.
The long wait for a five-star Cryo utility support is over as Citlali joins the roster in Genshin Impact. A five-star Catalyst user from Natlan, Citlali, brings forth an EM-scaling shield with a full-uptime, steady Cryo application, and a resistance shred for Hydro and Pyro, making her an ideal pick in Melt and Freeze teams. Citlali’s debut is set to align with version 5.4’s fresh additions, the 5-star Mavuika and the 4-star Lan Yan.
While the Pyro archon is expected to be the star of many wish lists, those enchanted by Citlali, especially after her appearance in the 5.1 archon quest, might want to start gathering her materials early.

How and where to farm Citlali ascension materials
Shivada Jade Slivers, Fragments, Chunks, and Gemstones are essential materials for upgrading and ascending Cryo characters like Citlali. These valuable resources can primarily be obtained by defeating these bosses.
- Cryo Hypostasis
- Perpetual Mechanical Array
- Aeonblight Drake
- Maguu Kenki
- Wayward Hermetic Spiritspeaker
- Cryo Regisvine
- Primo Geovishap
- Rimebiter Bathysmal Vishap
- Bolteater Bathysmal Vishap
- Lupus Boreas, Dominator of Wolves
Since Citlali needs Talisman of Enigmatic Land for her ascension, it’s better to farm the Wayward Hermetic Spiritspeaker boss repeatedly rather than fighting them all one by one.
For a more efficient farming process, players can use the crafting table to upgrade low-tier materials to higher ones. Moreover, the crafting table can also convert gemstones from other elements using the Dust of Azoth.
Quenepa Berry is a local specialty of Natlan, commonly found near bodies of water. There are 43 of these berries scattered across the map, particularly near locations like Scions of the Canopy, Teticpac Peak, northeast of the Ancestral Temple, Tepeacac Rise, and Ochkanatlan. For those looking for an alternative, players can plant Quenepa Berry in the Serenitea Pot and harvest it after three days. Moreover, they can purchase up to five Quenepa Berries from Cintli for 1,000 mora each.
Next, take down any of the Natlan Saurians to collect Juvenile Fang, Seasoned Fang, and Tyrant’s Fang. These enemies are spread out across Natlan, making them easy to find and farm. These materials are necessary for both Citlali’s character and talent ascension, so players should be prepared to hunt down plenty of Saurians. Don’t be surprised though if it takes a few world visits to gather them all.
Talisman of the Enigmatic Land is dropped by the new Natlan boss, the Wayward Hermetic Spiritspeaker, which will be available with the release of Version 5.4, likely within the new region. Gathering all 46 Talisman of Enigmatic Land can be quite costly, so be ready to spend a lot of resin to collect them all.
Everything needed to max Citlali’s talents
Completing all Citlali’s talent upgrades requires the Teachings of Kindling, Guide to Kindling, Philosophies of Kindlling, Juvenile Fang, Seasoned Fang, and Denial and Judgment materials plus lots of mora.
Here are all the materials Citlali needs for every talent ascension level:
- Level 2: 3 Teachings of Kindling, 6 Juvenile Fang, and 12,500 mora
- Level 3: 2 Guide to Kindling, 3 Seasoned Fang, and 17,500 mora
- Level 4: 4 Guide to Kindling, 4 Seasoned Fang, and 25,000 mora
- Level 5: 6 Guide to Kindling, 6 Seasoned Fang, and 30,000 mora
- Level 6: 9 Guide to Kindling, 9 Seasoned Fang, and 37,500 mora
- Level 7: 4 Philosophies of Kindling, 4 Tyrant’s Fang, 1 Denial and Judgment, and 120,000 mora
- Level 8: 6 Philosophies of Kindling, 6 Tyrant’s Fang, 1 Denial and Judgment, and 260,000 mora
- Level 9: 12 Philosophies of Kindling, 9 Tyrant’s Fang, 2 Denial and Judgment, and 450,000 mora
- Level 10: 16 Philosophies of Kindling, 12 Tyrant’s Fang, 2 Denial and Judgment, 1 Crown of Insight, and 700,000 mora
The best way to farm Citlali talent materials
Genshin players can farm Citalali’s talent materials from the Blazing Ruins domain and the Knave boss fight.
The Teachings, Guide, and Philosophies of Kindling are mainly obtained from the Blazing Ruins domain in Coatepec Mountain within the Natlan region. As with boss materials, expect to use up a lot of resin. Just remember, this material is only available on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Much like Kinich, Citlali requires Denial and Judgment to upgrade her talents to levels 7, 8, 9, and 10. To collect these, players must face The Knave in the Scattered Ruins Trounce domain, located near Mont Esus East in the Fontaine region. However, there’s no guarantee that Denial and Judgment will drop every time as the domain might instead grant Fading Candle or Silken Feather. Don’t worry though as Dream Solvent can be used at the crafting table to convert other materials from this boss into Denial and Judgment.
Crown of Insight is one of the rarest materials around, so it’s important for players to choose wisely when deciding who to give it to. It’s required to upgrade talents to level 10. To get it, players can complete certain Offering System levels or flagship events. Alternatively, players can also buy one for 50 Masterless Starglitter at Paimon’s Bargain, but it’s better to hold off unless absolutely needed, since 50 Starglitter equals 10 pulls.
