There’s little official information regarding the debut of Mavuika in Genshin Impact, but leaks already reveal what her abilities will look like and what she’ll be capable of.
Archons play a huge role in Genshin Impact. Not only are they the personification of their nations and regions in the game, but they are also powerful when it comes to combat. Mavuika is the Pyro Archon from Natlan, and she can be the centerpiece in an extremely powerful Pyro team, judging from leaks. Though details are still scant, it looks as though Mavuika being front-and-center in trailers for Natlan was justified.
Regular Genshin Impact leaker Foul gave some details on Mavuika’s abilities. All signs point to her being worth emptying Primogem coffers for.
What are Mavuika’s abilities in Genshin Impact?
Mavuika will have abilities that can deal damage over time, with the ability to charge attacks with Pyro damage.
According to the leaks, Mavuika’s press version ability will allow her to produce a collaborative attack. As for the hold version, she is reportedly set to infuse it with the Pyro-type element. It’s not specified up to what scope she can infuse her element, or whether it will be in coordination with her other teammates.
The leaks also outlined the Elemental Burst of Mavuika, which is a single-hit attack that deals recurring damage every two seconds. Additionally, the leaker mentioned that Mavuika may have a motorcycle once she is released. While these skills could hypothetically be changed before her official release, all of this implies that Mavuika could be a possible DPS or sub-DPS character, since her kit is largely geared toward offense.
Foul has a strong track record for leaking information about upcoming characters in Genshin Impact. Another leaker corroborated these details on Mavuika and her abilities, but went further by stating the Pyro Archon “is currently strong enough to arguably make her way to the top 4 DPS.”
There is still no official release date for Mavuika in Genshin Impact, but she is likely to be part of the first half of update 5.3. This patch is set to arrive in early January 2025, particularly around January 1 or 2, 2025. The last Archon released as a playable character in the game prior to Mavuika is Furina.
Players have some time to wait for her, but there are other Natlan characters set to be added to the game in the meantime. Kinich has arrived in Genshin Impact alongside a returning Raiden Shogun. Meanwhile, players can also look forward to Xilonen and prep by farming materials for her.
