With the Dendro element still shaking things up, Nahida is the perfect pick for anyone into Dendro reactions. Meta-wise, Nahida may be the strongest archon in Genshin Impact. Her Dendro application is unmatched, and she’s one of the best elemental mastery buffers the game has ever seen, keeping her locked in as an S-tier support for a long time.

Nahida can do all sorts of things, and she’s actually easy to use and build if players know her kit inside out.

How to play Nahida in Genshin Impact

Nahida is a five-star Dendro Catalyst character whose main schtick centers on both on and off-field Dendro application,  EM buffing and enabling strong reactions in the game. Thus far, no one in her element can do it better than her, as expected from an archon. 

Nahida’s elemental skill provides steady off-field Dendro application and damage. She can either tap the skill to affect nearby enemies or hold the button to mark up to eight targets by panning the camera over them. Marked enemies become linked, allowing any elemental reaction to trigger additional Dendro damage across all of them. 

Her elemental burst barely does any damage but offers valuable effects in various team setups. When activated, it creates a large dome on the field, granting different buffs to the team based on the elements of her party members.

The best artifact builds for Nahida are Deepwood Memories and Gilded Dreams.

Since Nahida heavily scales with elemental mastery, artifacts that provide these attributes are her optimal set. Stats-wise, players should hunt for artifacts with elementary mastery and energy regen rolls. Crit too, if she’s an on-field DPS.

Deepwood Memories 

As a tailor-made piece for the Dendro Archon, Deepwood Memories serves the best purpose for her and other Dendro units in the game. Deepwood Memories provides utilities that boost her Dendro damage and shred enemies’ resistance against this element, resulting in higher damage output for both Nahida and her Dendro party members. As a rule of thumb, though, only one party member should equip Deepwood Memories, as its effects do not stack.

Golden Troupe

Pick Golden Troupe as Nahida’s artifact set if the player aims to improve Nahida’s personal damage. Golden Troupe is the optimal set for off-field sub-DPS characters like Nahida, Furina, and Fischl, as it can amplify her elemental skill damage by a whopping 70% if she’s off-field and 45% if she’s on-field.

Gilded Dreams 

Gilded Dreams is also a viable choice for increasing Nahida’s damage as both an on- and off-field DPS. It can boost her ATK and elemental mastery depending on the elemental types of her party members. When using this set, it’s ideal to have another team member equipped with Deepwood Memories.

The best weapons for Nahida

A Thousand Floating Dreams is the uncontested best weapon for Nahida, but there are other viable options as well, such as Kagura’s Verity, Sacrificial Fragments, and Widsith. These weapons provide a good source of EM, ATK, and more.

Nahida’s signature weapon, unsurprisingly, is also her best-in-slot. A Thousand Floating Dreams gives her a huge chunk of EM stats from its sub-stats and passive effect while maximizing her damage dealt. 

Kagura’s Verity

When used as the main DPS of the team, Kagura’s Verity could be the best choice. It’s a crit damage catalyst focused on enhancing the impact of her normal attacks and elemental skill through its passive skill and elemental damage buffs.

Sacrificial Fragments

While its passive may not be as useful to Nahida, especially due to the low cooldown of her elemental skill, Sacrificial Fragments remains one of the best 4-star weapons and stats sticks for her. Equipping Sacrificial Fragments is one of the easiest ways for F2P players to reach 1000 EM, as it boasts the highest EM among all purple catalysts.

Widsith

The Widsith is a great alternative to Kagura’s Verity. In addition to crit damage, Nahida gains a random buff upon entering the field, which can increase her ATK, elemental damage, or elemental mastery, each of which is quite useful for this archetype.

Nahida is a top-tier Dendro unit who works best with teams that capitalize on Dendro reactions like Hyperbloom, Bloom, Quicken, and more. In fact, she is the best at what she does. She has the most consistent Dendro application, allowing her to function even as the sole Dendro unit in the team.

Hyperbloom is an easy setup to execute even with low investment, yet it’s incredibly strong, making it one of the best teams for Nahida. To complete a Hyperbloom team, there needs to be Hydro and Dendro units to form Dendro cores and Electro to trigger Hyperbloom. Raiden, Nahida, and Xingqiu fit perfectly into this setup, thanks to their impressive off-field application from their burst and skill. Kokomi, on the other hand, will serve as the healer, driver, and Hydro applicator.

Alhaitham Nahida Quickbloom team

Alhaitham takes the crown as the best on-field Dendro DPS, and he clicks really well with Nahida in this Quickbloom setup.

Quickbloom works like Hyperbloom but with less frequent Hydro application. This helps maintain Quicken uptime, boosting Alhaitham’s Dendro damage while still allowing some Hyperbloom damage on the side. Nahida is the perfect choice for this setup, acting as both an EM buffer and battery for the DPS. On the other hand, Yelan handles off-field Hydro application to generate Dendro cores and boost Alhaitham’s personal damage, while Kuki Shinobu plays the role of Electro trigger and healer. 

Budget Hyperbloom F2P Nahida team
