All Lumi materials for resonator and forte ascension

Lumi WuWa materials header

As Lumi’s release in Wuthering Waves draws near, Rovers are beginning to look forward to her arrival, with many curious about the materials needed for her ascension and forte.

It’s been a while since Wuthering Waves saw a new four-star damage dealer, but the wait ends with Lumi’s upcoming debut. Lumi, from the Huanglong faction, is a four-star Electro Broadblade resonator whose kit places her in the DPS and Sub-DPS roles. Thanks to her unique stance-switching mechanic, she can deliver both melee and ranged attacks. She could also become a budget version of Zhezhi, with her outro skill buffing resonance skills and allowing her to synergize with Jinhsi and Changli.

The good news is that all her materials can now be pre-farmed ahead of her release, so players who are eyeing her can start building her right away as soon as she arrives.

WuWa Lumi ascension materials

Lumi’s full ascension to level 90 requires a total of 170,000 Shell Credits, 60 Terraspawn Fungus, 46 Thundering Tacet Cores, 4 LF Howler Cores, 12 MF Howler Cores, 12 HF Howler Cores and 4 FF Howler Core materials.

Here’s a breakdown of the materials required for every ascension level.

  • Ascension Rank 1: 5,000 Shell Credit,  4 LF  Howler Core
  • Ascension Rank 2: 10,000 Shell Credit, 4 Terraspawn Fungus, 3 Thundering Tacet Cores, 4 MF Howler Core
  • Ascension Rank 3: 15,000 Shell Credit, 8 Terraspawn Fungus, 6 Thundering Tacet Cores, 8 MF Howler Core
  • Ascension Rank 4: 20,000 Shell Credit, 12 Terraspawn Fungus, 9 Thundering Tacet Cores, 4 HF Howler Core
  • Ascension Rank 5: 40,000 Shell Credit, 16 Terraspawn Fungus, 12 Thundering Tacet Cores, 8 HF Howler Core
  • Ascension Rank 6:  80,000 Shell Credit, 20 Terraspawn Fungus, 16 Thundering Tacet Cores, 4 HF Howler Core

Shell credits, being the primary currency, come from literally everywhere—exploration, quests, completing tutorials, events, redeeming codes, and visiting stores. Rovers can receive varying amounts of Shell Credits. Early on, they can rack up to hundreds of thousands, but don’t be fooled, as they get drained quickly by character and weapon upgrades. If players need more, they can opt to enter the Simulation Training and spend waveplates, where they can receive up to 80,000 Shell Credits per run.

Terraspawn Fungus is one of the many ascension materials scattered across Sol-3. It’s primarily found in the Desorock Highland region, with the bulk of it located near the Withering Frontline and Camp Overwatch. The fungus is fairly easy to spot, as it sits on dark soil. Alternatively, players can also find Koko, an NPC found in Jinzhou, and purchase up to 15 Terraspawn Fungus for 3,000 Shell Credits each.

Thundering Tacet Core is an item that players can only get by defeating the Thundering Mephis, an Overlord Class boss found in the center of the Withering Frontline area. Along with the Thundering Tacet Core, players can also earn Union EXP, Shell Credits, upgrade materials, and more. When farming for this material, make sure to bring a non-electro DPS, as this boss has a higher resistance to the Electro element.

Howler Cores come in different rarities and there are plenty of ways to farm them. The easiest methods include completing the Forgery Challenges or buying them from the Item Exchange Store and Weapon Shop. Additionally, several enemies drop Howler Cores, including the following.

  • Cyan-Feathered Heron
  • Havoc Dreadmane
  • Hoochief Cyclone
  • Roseshroom
  • Spearback
  • Violet-Feathered Heron
  • Viridblaze Saurian
  • Young Roseshroom
  • Baby Viridblaze Saurian
  • Chirpuff
  • Cruisewing
  • Diamondclaw
  • Excarat
  • Fusion Dreadmane
  • Gulpuff
  • Hoartoise
  • Hooscamp Flinger
  • Sabyr Boar
  • Hoochief Menace
  • Hooscamp Clapperclaw
  • Dwarf Cassowary
  • Glacio Dreadmane
  • Lava Larva
  • Lightcrusher

Lumi forte materials in Wuthering Waves

Maxing out Lumi’s fortes means acquiring Howler Cores, Sentinel’s Dagger, Waveworn Residue 210, Waveworn Residue 226, Waveworn Residue 235, Waveworn Residue 239, and Shell Credits. Lumi being both a main and sub-DPS means leveling up her forte will make a big difference in her damage output.

Here are all Lumi materials needed for her forte ascension.

  • 25 LF Howler Core
  • 28 MF Howler Core
  • 40 HF Howler Core
  • 57 FF Howler Core
  • 26 Sentinel’s Dagger
  • 25 Waveworn Residue 210
  • 28 Waveworn Residue 226
  • 55 Waveworn Residue 235
  • 67 Waveworn Residue 239

As for Lumi’s skill upgrade material, players will have to farm for Sentinel’s Dagger, which is also used by other units like Shorekeeper, Changli, and Camellya. The only method to get their hands on it is by fighting Sentinel Jué through the Weekly Challenge: Destined Confrontation. This boss is only unlocked upon completing Chapter 1, Act 7 of the Main Quest. Every run will require players to shell out 60 waveplates, and since this boss only drops one to three pieces of this material, farming for it may take a few days.

Waveworn Residue 210, 226, 235, and 239 are used to upgrade several weapons and skill fortes. The main method of farming them is tackling the Forgery Challenge: Eroded Ruins, located in Huanglong-Wuming Bay, and allocating a hefty amount of waveplates. Much like Howler Cores, the Weapon Shop and Souvenir Store also offer this material in fixed quantities in exchange for different currencies.
