Wuthering Waves: Camellya materials for ascensions and forte

wuthering waves camellya

Camellya’s release is just around the corner, so Wuthering Waves players had better start stocking up on her ascension and forte materials if they want her on their team.

The wait is nearly over as Camellya officially joins the roster in version 1.4. Her brief appearance in the 1.0 main quest made a lasting impression, quickly getting players to save their Astrites for her.

Hailing from the Black Shores, Camellya is a 5-star Havoc Sword resonator and an on-field basic attack DPS. Her main damage comes from slashing and spinning AOE attacks. She can also switch to her second state, changing her hair to crimson, which gives players even more reason to go for her.

At launch, Camellya is expected to compete with the top damage dealers in the game. But before she’s able to carry a team, players will first need to gather her materials to max out her levels and fortes.

Camellya ascension materials in WuWa

All Camellya needs to ascend her level to 90 are 170,000 Shell Credits, 60 Nova, 46 Topological Confinement, 4 LF Whisperin Cores, 12 MF Whisperin Cores, and 4 FF Whisperin Cores.

Here’s a rundown of the materials required for every ascension level:

  • Ascension Rank 1: 5,000 Shell Credit,  4 LF Whisperin Core
  • Ascension Rank 2: 10,000 Shell Credit, 4 Nova, 3 Topological Confinement, 4 MF Whisperin Core
  • Ascension Rank 3: 15,000 Shell Credit, 8 Nova, 6 Topological Confinement, 8 MF Whisperin Core
  • Ascension Rank 4: 20,000 Shell Credit, 12 Nova, 9 Topological Confinement, 4 HF Whisperin Core
  • Ascension Rank 5: 40,000 Shell Credit, 16 Nova, 12 Topological Confinement, 8 HF Whisperin Core
  • Ascension Rank 6:  80,000 Shell Credit, 20 Nova, 16 Topological Confinement, 4 HF Whisperin Core

Shell Credits are easy to earn early on as players can rack them up by completing quests, taking part in events, exploring, and more. But it’s always surprising how quickly they can disappear, especially when trying to build a three-man team and level up their weapons.

If players find themselves short on Shell Credits, there are plenty of ways to recover and rebuild their funds. Jumping into Simulation Training is often the go-to choice to gather a decent chunk of Shell Credits, though it will cost some waveplates. Occasionally, players can also get some by redeeming codes.

Nova is one of the special items needed to upgrade Camellya and the Shorekeeper. Players will find plenty of this material in two main areas: the Black Shores Archipelago and Tethys’ Deep, usually sitting around beach shores and cliffs. If they don’t want to explore the region, they can instead buy Nova from KU-Money in Tethys’ Hub, where they can get up to 15 Novas for 3,000 each.

Meanwhile, Topological Confinement is one of the Camellya materials dropped by a boss named Fallacy of No Return. This boss is found in the Data Torrent area of the Tethys’ Deep region, and can only be unlocked upon completing Chapter 1 Act 8: To the Shore’s End quest. Successfully taking it down allows one to receive up to four pieces of Topological Confinement among other rewards after spending waveplates on it.

Whisperin Cores come in four tiers: LF, MF, HF, and FF. Several resonators and weapons use this material, so it’s smart to keep a good stock. Whisperin Cores can be farmed by completing forgery challenges, purchasing them from the Item Exchange Store with Oscillated Coral, spending Shell Credits on weapons, or taking down the following enemies:

  • Autopuppet Scout
  • Carapace
  • Chasm Guardian
  • Flautist
  • Rocksteady Guardian

All Camellya forte materials in WuWa

Max out Camellya’s fortes by collecting Inert Metallic Drip, Reactive Metallic Drip, Polarized Metallic Drip, Heterized Metallic Drip, Dreamless Feather, Howler Cores and Shell Credits. Camellya stepping in as the main DPS only means that players should be prepared to pour resources and invest in her forte to deal huge numbers.

Here are all Camellya materials needed for her forte ascension:

  • 25 LF Howler Core
  • 28 MF Howler Core
  • 40 HF Howler Core
  • 57 FF Howler Core
  • 26 Dreamless Feather
  • 25 Inert Metallic Drip
  • 28 Reactive Metallic Drip
  • 55 Polarized Metallic Drip
  • 67 Heterized Metallic Drip

Inert, Reactive, Polarized, and Heterized Metallic Drips, used to upgrade weapons and fortes are mainly obtained by entering the Forgery Challenge: Flaming Remnants, and spending 40 waveplates to receive its drops. Besides draining waveplates, Wuthering Waves players can also use some of their Shell Credits to get Metallic Drips from weapon shops and souvenir stores.

Dreamless Feather is the main reward for defeating the Statue of the Crownless: Heart boss, which becomes available after finishing Chapter 1 Act 6: Grand Warstorm in the Main Quest. Each run costs 60 waveplates and usually gives one to three Dreamless Feathers.
