Wuthering Waves’ 1.4 patch may still be months away, but recent leaks have fans buzzing about Camellya, Dengdeng, and Yinlin potentially getting featured in the patch’s convene banner.
Before Jinhsi’s official release in Wuthering Waves, she first played a significant role in the game’s main quest as the magistrate of Jinzhou. Separately, the Rover also stumbled upon other characters such Geshu Lin, Scar and Camellya. This led to a flurry of speculation and discussion among players about when these characters might become available.
While official info has been minimal, earlier reports suggested Camellya wouldn’t be playable until after the release of Wuthering Waves’ 2.0 update. However, a social media post from regular Wuthering Waves leaker WWW hints she might arrive sooner than expected, possibly alongside a 4-star character and a rerun.
Wuthering Waves 1.4 Camellya and Dengdeng convene banners leaked
Leaks suggest that Camellya and Dengdeng will be added as playable characters in Wuthering Waves’ 1.4 patch. Additionally, the source mentioned that Yinlin will see her first banner rerun during the update.
According to leaks, Camellya will be released as a 5-star Havoc character who uses a sword. This marks the first 5-star Havoc character as part of a limited-time character banner.
She was initially introduced in version 1.0 and made a brief appearance in Chapter 1 Act 5: Rewinding Raindrops, where it seemed like the Rover had her pinned to the ground.
Camellya is also part of the Black Shores, with other members including Aalto, Encore, and the Shorekeeper. Aside from this, there aren’t many details yet about her forte and resonance chains. It’s also unclear whether she’s a DPS, sub-DPS, or a support.
Players can also reportedly expect the arrival of a 4-star character named Dengdeng, who has yet to appear in quests, events, or promotional material. Described as having animal ears, Dengdeng has been compared to Encore and Yaoyao from Genshin Impact in previous leaks from Stepleaks. In addition to that, it was also revealed that she won’t have a child model, and will only be slightly shorter than The Shorekeeper.
The leaks haven’t specified whether Camellya and Dengdeng will appear in the first or second phase. However, it has been reported that the Electro 5-star Support resonator, Yinlin will also be making her first rerun. Yinlin was first released in the second phase of patch 1.0.

Wuthering Waves 1.4 yet is expected to drop on November 7, 2024, based on the timing of previous updates. No official date has been announced by KuroGames
Rumor has it that Wuthering Waves 1.4 will be the last part of Huanglong cycle, with version 2.0 set to follow right after. This next major update is said to release a new region in Sol-3, and new skins.
Wuthering Waves 1.4 also features the long-awaited character, Camellya, alongside Dengdeng and Yinlin.
However, none of these details are confirmed yet. If these leaks turn out to be accurate, players can expect their drip marketing campaign two days before 1.3 gets released, which will be on September 27, 2024. Until then, it’s wise to take this information with a grain of salt.
