At long last, the long-awaited trailer for the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is coming and the official date and time have been revealed.

Elden Ring was among the biggest games of 2022 both commercially and critically. While FromSoftware has usually has turned around DLC for its games inside a year, it took a year for Shadow of the Erdtree to even get announced. The year since then has been a quiet one, but Bandai Namco has finally broken the silence regarding the DLC.

This comes in the form of a gameplay reveal trailer for the Elden Ring DLC. The date and time of the premiere has been confirmed, giving Soulsborne fans some appointment viewing.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC reveal trailer date and time confirmed

The official date and time for the premiere of the Elden Ring DLC reveal trailer is February 21, 2024 at 6:30 am PT, 9:30 am ET, or 3:30 pm CET.

The premiere is seemingly exclusive to the Bandai Namco Europe YouTube channel, and isn’t listed on the company’s American or Japanese branches. Regardless, an official channel is set to publish the trailer after a prolonged wait. This comes despite the Elden Ring IP actually being taken from Bandai Namco.

Fans have been getting teased with “official” leaks for some time now with data mines revealing major development work and merchandise manufacturers even indicating that the DLC would be released in February 2024. Though it’s seemingly unlikely that this will happen, fans will finally get something to be excited about.

Though there’s little information on what will be included in the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC reveal trailer, there’s a lot that can be analyzed. The trailer is an “official gameplay reveal” which suggests that there may be substantive additions to the actual gameplay beyond just a new area and new bosses.

An individual claiming to be from a support developer for the DLC stated that Shadow of the Erdtree will feature an update similar to Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin. While Dark Souls 2 had a few DLC installments, Scholar of the First Sin overhauled the base game as well by changing the levels and enemy placements in a way that made for a completely different experience.

Beyond that, new online functionality, weapons, and more could get revealed. The biggest question remains whether the release date will be revealed, but there’s no indication that this will be included. Luckily, fans excited for the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC won’t have to wait long as the official date and time for the reveal trailer came less than 24 hours before its premiere.
