The release date for the Paldea starters’ arrival in Pokemon GO has finally been revealed and they’re coming soon.
Pokemon Go’s official social media accounts have been posting teases of the starter Pokemon from the most recent Nintendo Switch Pokemon games, Scarlet and Violet. Fans learned that Fuecoco, Sprigatito, and Quaxly were set to debut in Pokemon GO through the August 8 Pokemon Presents. No details were given on their release date or what other Pokemon might come with them.
With the new season kicking off in just a couple of days, players will be seeing some new Pokemon faces in their mobile game. Here are all the details on what new Pokemon coming and when players can catch them.
When will the Pokemon Paldea starters debut in Pokemon GO?
The Paldea starters arrive in Pokemon GO on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 10 a.m. local time. They will stick around until Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 10 a.m. local time. This should give players enough time to collect the Pokemon, gather some candies, and participate in a special research for the event.
Pokemon GO will add Sprigatito, Floragato, Meowscarada, Fuecoco, Crocalor, Skeledirge, Quaxly, Quaxwell, Quaquaval, Lechonk, and Oinkologne. Lechonk is the only Pokemon that will be available as a shiny during this time. This could mean that the Paldea starters will make their shiny debut in Pokemon GO in future Community Day events.
Players will also have the opportunity to hatch these Pokemon from eggs. The three starters will be available in eggs, including the possibility of hatching shiny Lechonk. The Paldea starter Pokemon can be evolved by using their specific candies, which will hopefully make it easy to collect and evolve them all during the event.
What is the Adventures Abound Special Research?
The Adventures Abound Special Research is a new special research mission that players can claim for free from Tuesday, September 5, 2023, to Friday, December 1, 2023. In addition to all the Paldea starters, there will also be new raids, new outfits for avatars, and more coming to Pokemon GO.
The Adventures Abound seasonal bonuses include:
- Ability to open 40 gifts daily
- Ability to send 40 gifts daily
- Damage boost when doing raids with friends
- Higher XP when increasing friendship level
Among the confirmed events are Shadow Zapdos raids with the potential for shiny Pokemon, a Community Day Classic starring Charmander, and increased shiny odds for Fletchling, Buizel, Hoppip, and Houndour.
