Fortnite Festival Season 4 will feature Metallica and the Battle Stage and the skin rewards, start date, and end date are all confirmed.

Epic Games announced that for Fortnite Festival Season 4, it would be teaming up with Metallica to offer in-game rewards, concerts, the new Battle Stage, and more. The first Fortnite Festival premiered in December with headliner The Weeknd and many other stars have had their own concerts since. The gameplay for this event mimics classic rhythm games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band by allowing players to shred guitars in their favorite Fortnite skins.

Fortnite Festival will begin with v30.10, and players won’t have to wait long to gain access and rock out to their favorite Metallica songs.

Metallica Fortnite Festival start and end dates confirmed

Players can enter the Fortnite Festival lobby and choose a stage experience from June 13 to August 16 at 12 am ET.

From there, there’s an option to join the Main Stage, Jam Stage, and new Battle Stage. The lattermost option is where players can compete to see who can play a randomly selected song the best out of a group of 16. Notably, the Battle Stage will remain after the season ends.

On June 18, players can go into the in-game Compete tab and try their luck at the Battle Royale Metallica Cup. Fans can also experience a 30-minute Metallica concert on June 22 and June 23, with six showings across the two dates. Fortnite will be streaming the event through the Discover tab during the showtimes for groups of up to four players.

Fortnite Festival Season 4 skins, rewards

In Fortnite Festival, Epic Games has introduced reward tracks across both the festival stages and Battle Royale.

Season 4 has two limited-time rewards passes where players can earn festival points to unlock special items based on the tier. All festival points are gained through completing special Festival Quests on the different music stages.

The Free Reward Track features auras, emotes, and a final Slurp Blaster guitar with Epic Games-designed jam tracks. The Premium Reward Track costs 1,800 V-Bucks and unlocks Puppet Master outfits for the members of Metallica, instruments, and the One Jam Track

Additionally, Fortnite Festival has a set of sequential Metallica Quests until July 21st, where players can score James Hetfield’s guitar and Robert Trujillo’s bass as well as separate Metallica Quests for Battle Royale until July 2. Epic Games indicated that rewards from the Metallica Fortnite Festival are not exclusive to passes or quests, and will likely be available at a later date in the Fortnite shop.
