Key details on Fortnite’s upcoming Big Bang event have already been leaked, including the appearance of musical artists including Eminem, Lady Gaga, Alice Cooper, and more.

With the immense success of Fortnite’s ongoing Fortnite OG event erasing any doubts about the popularity and relevance of the game in 2023, it looks like developer Epic Games isn’t done yet. Information has been mined regarding a massive event that has already been announced called “Big Bang.” Through it, fans now know that Epic is planning one of the game’s biggest collaborations yet by joining hands with some of the world’s most popular musical artists.

Alongside information about some of the artists fans can expect to see, players also now have an idea of how much extra storage they will need to download the new event content. With some of the biggest names in the music industry being tied to this event, it’s looking to be one of the biggest collaborations Fortnite has ever done. For a game that has recently collaborated with popular shows like Invincible, that’s saying something.

Which musical artists will be part of Fortnite’s Big Bang event?

Eminem will be frontlining the Big Bang event as indicated by the mined skins and loading screen featuring him, but other known musical artists will also be making an appearance.

The new musical event mode that is expected to launch during Big Bang is called “Festival” and will have multiple songs and artists tied to it. Below is a list of all of the songs that have currently been reported by itsUnreleased, a Fortnite data miner.

  • Pokerface by Lady Gaga
  • Numb by Linkin Park
  • Africa by Toto
  • Thunder by Imagine Dragons
  • Poison by Alice Cooper

When will the new Fortnite musical event come out?

The Fortnite musical event titled “Big Bang” will come out on December 2, 2023 at 2 PM EST.

This new event will launch right after Fortnite OG ends, with the final Season X update releasing on November 24. Although it’s currently unknown how long the event will last, Big Bang is likely meant to fill the gap between Fortnite OG and Chapter 5, which is the next main chapter in the ever-expanding battle royale game.

The event will also reportedly feature other collaborations that were leaked earlier in the year in addition to being the biggest update in terms of sheer file size in the game’s history, with the update being reported as large as 1.5GB.

Will the Big Bang Fortnite event feature any new mechanics?

The Big Bang Fortnite event will feature new mechanics allowing players to use Vocals, Guitars, Drums, and Bass in the new rhythm game mode with free rewards.

As suggested by earlier game leaks, this is the mode through which Epic Games is collaborating with Harmonix Music Systems, the company behind classic rhythm games such as  Guitar Hero and Rock Band. This game mode will reportedly require players to tap the right inputs at the right time to be in sync with the music.

The game mode won’t only be for solos though, as according to the mined data there is also a team mode available. However, it isn’t yet clear how many players will be allowed in a single team in that mode.
