When will the new Fortnite musical event come out?
The Fortnite musical event titled “Big Bang” will come out on December 2, 2023 at 2 PM EST.
This new event will launch right after Fortnite OG ends, with the final Season X update releasing on November 24. Although it’s currently unknown how long the event will last, Big Bang is likely meant to fill the gap between Fortnite OG and Chapter 5, which is the next main chapter in the ever-expanding battle royale game.
The event will also reportedly feature other collaborations that were leaked earlier in the year in addition to being the biggest update in terms of sheer file size in the game’s history, with the update being reported as large as 1.5GB.
Will the Big Bang Fortnite event feature any new mechanics?
The Big Bang Fortnite event will feature new mechanics allowing players to use Vocals, Guitars, Drums, and Bass in the new rhythm game mode with free rewards.
As suggested by earlier game leaks, this is the mode through which Epic Games is collaborating with Harmonix Music Systems, the company behind classic rhythm games such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band. This game mode will reportedly require players to tap the right inputs at the right time to be in sync with the music.
The game mode won’t only be for solos though, as according to the mined data there is also a team mode available. However, it isn’t yet clear how many players will be allowed in a single team in that mode.
