Faze Clan member Jason “Jasontheween” recently entered Twitch’s big leagues by becoming the second most subscribed streamer. But how much does he make from streaming?
September was a big month for Faze Clan. Notable names, including Rani “Faze StableRonaldo,” Nick “Faze Lacy,” and Jasontheween, hosted a month-long subathon called “Subtember.” The event recently concluded with all three streamers gaining thousands of new followers and subscribers, with Jasontheween headlining the subathon and reaching 104,000 subscribers.
This feat has earned him second on the most-subscribed Twitch streamer’s list, just behind IronMouse. However, Jasontheween’s Twitch earnings have left fans a bit confused.
Jasontheween’s Twitch earnings leaked, how much does he make?
Jasontheween made more than $500,000 during September 2024, according to his Twitch earnings page.
On the final day of the streaming marathon, FAZE Ronaldo, Lacy, and Jasontheween unexpectedly revealed their Twitch earnings. The figures stunned fans; FAZE Ronaldo earned upwards of $1.2 million and Lacy $1.1 million.
Notably, despite both being among Twitch’s top 15 most subscribed channels, Jasontheween boasts double their subscriber count. However, his relatively modest income has raised eyebrows among fans.
Jasontheween has beaten the likes of Kai Cenat, Case “Caseoh” Baker, Nicholas “Jynxzi” Stewart, and more to get to the number two spot. Considering the significant achievement, fans were expecting him to make the most out of the group, but the leak shows the opposite.
Some fans argue that this is fraudulent, claiming streamers manipulated their earnings using inspect elements to exaggerate their income. For now, there’s no definitive way to confirm whether Jasontheween genuinely earned less than his Faze Clan counterparts or if the leaked figures were inflated, deflated, for attention.
Why doesn’t Jasontheween make much on Twitch?
Jasontheween likely makes less than other streamers due to his limited ad usage.
The income disparity likely stems from Jasontheween’s limited ad usage compared to his Faze Clan counterparts. Unlike Faze Ronaldo and Lacy, who likely generate significant revenue from brand deals, Jasontheween’s primary income source appears to be subscriber-based.
Twitch also adjusted its subscription pricing system on multiple occasions over the last year. If Jasontheween has a larger in regions where subscription prices are cheaper, it would result in comparatively low earnings. That’s unlikely to be the case however, as Jasontheween is an American streamer who typically streams during North American peak hours.
