Skin makeup is a big part of any outfit in Dress to Impress, but unfortunately, it’s locked behind a paywall. However, DTI players can still add depth to their outfits by applying the vitiligo effect to their skin.
Roblox is big and getting bigger. That’s not just because of major promotions, but new games continue to get added. One of the breakout hits of 2024 is the fashion-themed Dress to Impress.
Some outfits in Dress to Impress aren’t complete without unique skincare customization. Themes like dystopia, surrealism, and celestial motifs often feel most authentic with unusual skin colors, deep blues, aqua, full white, or jet black. Thankfully, achieving this look is simple. DTI even offers additional hidden skin options, accessible through a toggle in the skin menu, for even more creative control.
In Dress to Impress, vitiligo is a customizable skin feature that lets players design characters with skin patches that resemble vitiligo. This real-life skin condition results in pigment being lost in some areas of the skin, leading to lighter patches. Here’s how it can be added and changed for all skin tones.
How to change the vitiligo color in DTI
In Dress to Impress, players can apply the vitiligo effect through the skin color menu, choosing from three distinct pattern options.
To apply the vitiligo effect:
- Go to the tanning section and press E to interact.
- When the color palette opens, locate the vitiligo option at the top of the menu.
- Choose one of the three available patterns, then adjust the skin color as you normally would to apply the vitiligo effect in various colors.

This is the only skin customization option available outside of VIP besides the skin color change. Still, it remains one of the less-used features in Dress to Impress. Applying this effect on darker skin tones can create striking contrasts, making the patterns more pronounced and visually appealing.
How to get the vitiligo effect on the face in DTI
The vitiligo body effect applies only from the neck down and does not affect the face. To get face makeup that looks similar to vitiligo, players must purchase it with Roblox points.
This effect is especially useful for creating a splotchy or splattered look, as you can change the color of the patches independently of the skin tone.
To customize the color, equip the effect and go to the ‘Wearing’ tab. Select “Face Makeup,” then use the color wheel to find your desired shade. The selected color will apply to the makeup, not the skin
