As Palworld 1.0 approaches, speculation over the Palworld price has been growing, with many expecting the game’s full launch to come with a higher price tag. Pocketpair has now surprised fans with an unexpected update.
Palworld has enjoyed one of the most successful early access launches in recent years. Since debuting in 2024, the survival game has surpassed 40 million players, exceeding even Pocketpair’s own expectations. While many players were initially drawn to the game’s familiar monster-taming as seen in Pokemon, Palworld quickly carved out its own path with survival mechanics, base building, automation, and firearm-wielding Pals.
With Palworld 1.0 now set to launch globally on July 10, Pocketpair has finally addressed one of the biggest questions surrounding the release: the Palworld game price for version 1.0.
What’s Palworld 1.0 price?
Palworld’s price will remain unchanged upon the global launch on July 10. Players can purchase the game off of Steam or PlayStation store at $29.99 when it releases.

On July 8, the developer behind the Pal-taming hit put speculation to rest over a long-standing note on the Steam page hinting at a possible price change. Since the game’s early access launch in 2024, its Steam page has stated that “the price of the game may increase at or closer to the official release.”
However, the developer has chosen to stick with the same price as its way of thanking the players.
“With heartfelt gratitude for all your warm support that got us this far, we’ve decided to keep the price as is so that even more people can enjoy the game going forward,” Palworld announced.
This is the perfect time for new players to jump into Palworld, especially with the game currently available at a 30% discount on Steam. The intimidation of starting a game that’s been in early access for over a year has also been removed, as Pocketpair has recommended that all players begin a fresh save to experience Palworld 1.0 the way it was intended.
The game has come a long way since it was best-known for fending off lawsuits from Nintendo, and this new release is just the latest chapter in its success story.
Palworld global release timing explained
Palworld is set for a global release on July 10, but some players may be able to get it on July 9 since PocketPair is based in Japan.
