There’s a new Void Hunter in town, and with the right build and team, Remielle can absolutely transform a ZZZ account.
Void Hunters make an enormous impact. Not only do they arrive with significant fanfare, they also receive special treatment and carefully tailored buffs that keep them at the top of the metagame for multiple patches.
All signs point to Remielle receiving that same treatment. But there’s a twist: she is effectively a support character masquerading as a primary DPS. This means Remielle represents a unique value proposition for players, and requires a unique build, and that our guide can help with.

How to play Remielle in Zenless Zone Zero
Remielle is effectively both an off-field anomaly DPS and an anomaly-focused support. Her gameplay is essentially a more cinematic version of the “hit EX special attack and bounce” that various supports use.
When Remielle uses her EX special attack, she flies towards the screen and leaves the battle, with players unable to bring her back to the field. While she is unavailable, she drops attacks on the enemy until she returns. She automatically returns to the field with a massive attack and becomes available for play after teammates proc three anomalies.
Remielle’s strength lies in her ability to deal significant damage on her own while also amplifying the damage of her teammates. Part of this is that Remielle uses the new Lumen attribute, which “mutates” to become the same element as the next character on the team. This adds additional multipliers to the attribute anomalies, further boosting her team’s damage.
Should you pull Remielle?
Zenless Zone Zero players should pull for Remielle. She is extremely strong on her own merits and is relatively free-to-play-friendly, as there is a long list of potential teams that can effectively play her.
While there has been some debate about her exact value, specifically around the fact that there’s already a very strong anomaly support in Yuzuha, Remielle is a Void Hunter. This class of agents has been treated with care by HoYoverse, resulting in Miyabi dominating the game for a long while before Yixuan and Ye Shunguang did the same.
Remielle is extremely powerful on launch and will likely have specialized buffs tailored to her throughout Zenless Zone Zero Season 3. This adds up to Remielle likely being a meta-defining unit for a long while.
Best Remielle Drive Disc Build
Remielle’s Drive Disc Build is a straightforward one, due to having her own signature set.
Similar to Ye Shunguang and Promeia, Remielle has her own Drive Disc set that is custom-made to boost her damage output. This Drive Disc set is Feathered Fate, which has a +10% ATK two-piece effect similar to Proto Punk and Astral Voice. Unlike these two sets, Feathered Fate gives +50 Anomaly Proficiency and an additional 15% anomaly damage for Lumiflux characters. This set is essentially only useful for Remielle, and there’s a good chance that this never changes.
There’s a bit of flexibility to the two-piece set, but not much. The are the best Drive Disc builds for Remielle:
- Four-piece Feathered Fate, two-piece Freedom Blues / Chaos Jazz
- Four-piece Feathered Fate, two-piece Hormone Punk / Astral Voice
Similar to many other anomaly agents, Remielle is almost entirely fueled by her Anomaly Proficiency and ATK stats. This means that while there are a few different viable Drive Disc builds, they’re ultimately all dedicated to boosting those two stats. Unlike other anomaly agents though, she’s not particularly interested in building up Anomaly Mastery.
With that in mind, here are Remielle’s recommended Drive Disc main stats for each slot:
- HP
- Attack
- Defense
- Anomaly Proficiency / ATK%
- ATK%
- ATK%
Remielle has a powerful effect where she boosts the attack stat of her team based on her own base attack, up to a maximum of 1,600 attack. Because of this, Anomaly Proficiency and ATK% are the only substats that Remielle is particularly concerned with on her Drive Discs.
Remielle stat breakpoints
Remielle wants 4,000 ATK to deliver maximum attack buffs to her team. This is a high mark, which players will likely struggle to reach without her signature W-Engine. This can be worked around by dedicating slots four, five, and six to ATK%. If players can hit this mark without ATK% on all three slots, that opens the door for some extra Anomaly Proficiency on slot four.
Ultimately, the strength of Remielle’s buffs should have players focus on that ATK% stat over Anomaly Proficiency.
Remielle best W-Engines
Remielle has an exceptionally powerful signature W-Engine that stands out as the best by providing great stats and a powerful additional effect for her. That said, she’s still playable with some alternative options.

Does Remielle need her signature W-Engine?
Remielle is powerful without her signature W-Engine, but does greatly benefit from it.
Ode of Resurrected Wings is objectively the best W-Engine in the game, with a base ATK boost of 743 and secondary stat boost of +36% ATK, combined with a +96 Anomaly Proficiency effect. This is higher than other S-rank W-Engines, which would typically offer 713 base ATK, +30% ATK, and +90 Anomaly Proficiency. Her signature engine also provides boosts specifically to her unique attribute anomaly effects, which other agents can’t utilize.
This adds up to being a very powerful W-Engine and a good stat stick for other agents. She’s not without alternatives, though.
Flamemaker Shaker
Burnice’s signature W-Engine, which happens to be available to players for free if they recycle enough A-rank W-Engines, is a workable alternative for Remielle. Remielle gets some value from its secondary effects, but more important is its +30% ATK boost.
Weeping Gemini
Behind Flamemaker Shaker, the next best option is Weeping Gemini. This isn’t the fanciest option, but it ultimately offers Remielle both plenty of ATK and an extra dose of Anomaly Proficiency. The lower stats ultimately make it harder to build Remielle and reach that 4,000 ATK breakpoint, but it’s still doable.
Best Remielle teams in Zenless Zone Zero
Remielle is unique among Zenless Zone Zero agents, as she specifically wants to have an all-anomaly team. While the game has featured meta-bending agents in the past like Seed and Orphie & Magus, Remielle is the first to want a single-specialty squad.
Remielle whale team – Remielle, Promeia, Velina
The best team for Remielle at launch will bring together limited S-rank agents of three consecutive patches into one powerful squad. Promeia is arguably the best on-field anomaly DPS, Velina is the best off-field DPS, and Remielle makes them both better.
Remielle anomaly team – Remielle, Miyabi / Jane / Alice / Aria, Vivian / Yanagi / Burnice
Because Remielle is effectively a high-damage support, players can effectively use her the same way they’d use Yuzuha. That means putting her together with one on-field anomaly agent and one off-field agent. There’s a bit of room for creativity there, but basically any two agents will work.
Best Remielle free-to-play team – Remielle, Grace, Piper
Remielle desperately wants two other anomaly agents on her team. That’s a bit awkward for free-to-play players as there’s only one A-rank anomaly agent, and that’s Piper.
The other non-limited anomaly agent that’s not hidden behind a paywall of some kind is Grace. Grace has enjoyed a bit of a renaissance with her buffs, and players could actually do worse than playing her here on a Remielle free-to-play team.
