Best Ye Shunguang Drive Disc build
Ye Shunguang’s best Drive Disc build is a combination of the new White Water Ballad with either an attack or crit damage-boosting two-piece set.
Similar to Miyabi, Ye Shunguang is getting her own signature Drive Disc set alongside her release. Unlike Miyabi, her set won’t be of much use to anyone except for her. The fact that Branch and Blade Song is one of the best options for Ye Shunguang speaks to that. Here are the best Drive Disc build sets for Ye Shunguang:
- Four-piece White Water Ballad, two-piece Branch and Blade Song
- Four-piece White Water Ballad, two-piece Hormone Punk
- Four-piece White Water Ballad, two-piece Astral Voice
White Water Ballad gives Ye Shunguang a boost to crit rate that makes Branch and Blade Song’s crit damage boost preferable. Next to that, the sets that offer a +10% attack bump are the best bet. Hormone Punk and Astral Voice both check that box, offering the same effect at two pieces.

Cloudcleave Radiance
Ye Shunguang’s signature W-Engine is tailor-made for her kit in a way that will make it not particularly useful on anyone else. It ignores some physical damage resistance on enemies while giving her damage and crit damage boosts upon activating Ether Veil. It’s a great stat stick with a crit damage secondary stat, but only Nekomata, Billy, and Corin will be able to find some use for it beyond that.
Severed Innocence
A long list of limited W-Engines for other S-rank agents slots in here. Soldier 0 Anby’s signature W-Engine is the best and most straightforward overall, thanks to its stacking crit damage buffs. Still, Evelyn’s Heartstring Nocturne, Harumasa’s Zanshin Herb Case, and Seed’s Cordis Germina all offer some use. Do note that the crit rate-focused W-Engines may require some adjustments to Ye Shunguang’s build to ensure she isn’t overcapped.
The Brimstone
Soldier 11’s signature W-Engine from the standard banner works with any attack agent that’s hungry for field time. Ye Shunguang definitely fits that bill. It’s not as good as most limited-time attacker W-Engines, but it’s still solid.
Starlight Engine
The battle pass’s Cannon Rotor and the event W-Engine Marcato Desire are the ideal A-rank W-Engines for Ye Shunguang. For those looking for a fully free-to-play option, the Starlight Engine is best. None of the other A-rank agents’ signature W-Engines offer better damage output.

Zhao is effectively made to be a strong support for Ye Shunguang, so it’s no surprise that she’s integral to her best teams. Dialyn is the best third character to add at launch, though there are plenty of alternatives. Astra Yao, Yuzuha, and Trigger with her W-Engine can all do great work.
Best Ye Shunguang free-to-play team – Ye Shunguang, Pulchra, Lucy
While the classic “Cunning Hares plus one” team composition remains strong, Lucy and Pulchra make the best free-to-play squad in Zenless Zone Zero upon Ye Shunguang’s launch. Lucy and Pulchra offer a lot from the sidelines, allowing them to contribute without cutting into Ye Shunguang’s field time. Just make sure to use a modernized build for Lucy that emphasizes her off-field damage potential.
